Chapter 6

Cheshire, England 2010

(Harry's POV)

McKenna pushed me onto the stage and I stumble a little but quickly regain my composure. My heart is pounding, McKenna Collins JUST kissed me, the kiss keeps playing over and over in my head, and I can feel the adrenaline coursing through me. I walk over to the microphone with what I'm sure is the most ridiculous grin ever.

"Hello," all the judges greet me.

"Hello," I greet back.

"What's your name, son?" Louis asks.

"I'm Harry styles," I say with a shy smile.

"How old are you and where are you from?" Simon adds.

"I'm sixteen and I'm from Holmes chapel in Cheshire," I reply, trying really hard to stay focused on their questions and not on the kiss that happened moments ago.

"Tell us a bit about yourself Harry," Nicole adds.

"Um, I work in a bakery, and I just graduated, I hope to study law, sociology or business in college, which ever comes first I guess." I say shrugging.

"Woe!" All the judges say smiling, clearly amused with my answer.

"What are you singing for us today, harry?" Simon asks.

"Isn't she lovely by Stevie wonder."

"Okay whenever your ready," he says.

"Isn't she lovely, isn't she wonderful, isn't she precious, less than one minute old, yeah I never thought through love we'd be, making one as lovely as she but isn't she lovely, made from love."

The audience erupts into a frenzy of applause and screams, I can hear McKenna, my Mum and Sister yelling too for back stage causing me to smile widely.

"You know what? I like you Harry I think you have a beautiful voice for just 16, I'm definitely gonna say yes," Nicole says smiling at me. The audience cheers again.

"I agree with Nicole, I think you a nice voice however, I still think you're too young and don't have enough confidence yet so I'm gonna say no for all the right reasons," louis says.

"Okay," I frown slightly.

"Is he serious right now? That's complete rubbish," I hear McKenna exclaim from backstage. I smile and look down, biting my lip, god I love her.

"Someone in the audience said that that's complete rubbish and I totally agree with them," Simon says and the crowd erupts again."I'm going to say yes I agree with Nicole I like you, and I think with a bit of coaching you actually could be really good," he adds giving me his best smile.

"I'm going to say yes too, I like your voice and I think you've got charisma," Cheryl says.

"It's settled then, three yeses, we'll see you at boot camp," Simon says waving me off stage.

"Thank you so much!" I thank them and half run off stage.

When I get backstage, I'm engulfed into the tightest group hug ever. McKenna, is the last one to let go when everyone let's go of me.

"Congratulations Harry!" They all squeal at the same time!

"Thanks," I chime, smiling shyly as we start to walk out the back stage door.

"Really Harry, you did amazing," McKenna coos, smiling so brightly that her eyes twinkle.

"Th-Thanks," I stutter momentarily stunned my her gorgeous smile. From the corner of my eye I can see my mum, and sister staring at McKenna inquisitively, probably still trying to process the kiss that she gave me not even five minutes ago.

As we continue to walk through the convention center, they still stare at her not even taking their eyes off her once. We pass by a blonde guy walking the opposite way towards the stage door, who looks like he's about my age. I notice his blue eyes scrape up and down McKenna's body and he licks his bottom lip, and I instantly don't like him. I ball my fists and shoot him daggers and he immediately looks away and walks fast past me. That's right dick, walk away.

We finally reach the car, but McKenna stops dead in her tracks and turns to face my mum and Gemma, avoiding looking in my direction.

"Alright, what's up with you guys, you've been staring at me the entire walk over here and haven't said a word if this is about the kiss I can assure you that it meant absolutely nothing to me and it was solely for good luck, nothing else so you can stop staring at me because nothing is going on between Harry and I," she yells flustered, her face a complete shade of deep red. She walks past me and unlocks the car with a huff and gets in slamming the door behind her. I'm frozen in place, Speechless, tears burning my eyes and threatening to come pouring down.
