It had been a week since the broadcast that Jace held, his face carried the stress and the anger from months of investigating. William and Captain Desmond watched as Jace went over everything.

Every place Finn had been, everyone he talked to and his family. He didn't leave any stone unturned, he questioned everyone that he needed to and he even traveled to other cities to ask old friends.

"He's going to wreck this son of a bitch when we find him," William said to Captain Desmond. The two had grown to like the young officer, especially William.

The detective of two and a half years had a bad partner. A corrupt man that he called his friend betrayed his trust and it made him unable to trust anyone and do a lot of cases by himself with no team. But Jace, there was something about him that he liked.

"And he should, hell I would do the same thing if something like this happened to my wife." Desmond said, watching the young officer on the phone.

"Are you positive you haven't seen or heard from him?" He asked. The latest person he had found was Finn's college roommate who moved to California for college.

"No. Haven't heard anything." Cole said, his voice shaky. That made Jace sit up straighter.

"Is he in your house?"

"Yeah man, it's crazy." Cole replied, his voice leveled as he tried to remain calm in front of the blonde turned redhead sat down drinking a beer and watching a football game.

"Does he have any weapons with him?" Jace asked, William gearing up and getting backup for when they would go to the house.

"Man, yes. Like medium size."

Probably the same .38mm gun that he had used to shoot Rebecca. He knew it was because Finn wouldn't throw away anything. He thought that someone would believe him.

"Is Rebecca there?"

"Yeah dude, I think that I'll be tied up for the next couple of weeks because of work but I can figure out something." Cole said.

"No. Don't let him suspect anything. Has he caught on?" Jace told him, understand that Finn could be smart enough to know he was talking to Jace.

"Nope. But um, there's something else that we can do."

That worried Jace slightly. What else could possibly be going on? He asked himself.

"There's a little one around man. Like in a couple of months." He said. That confused him, he began to think about it but nothing was coming to mind. Before Jace could figure it out, a gunshot was heard.

"Who is this?" Finn asked, watching the life drain from Cole's body. Jace stayed silent. The line went dead.

"Finn just killed Cole. He just killed him." He breathed in shock. Finn had really changed, turning into a stone cold killer. He had no remorse, no guilt and no heart.

"What did Cole say?" William asked, needing to know everything so it could make more sense.

"He said that he has a medium gun, which is definitely the gun he used to shot Rebecca and that she's with him tied up..." he said, going through other contacts of his old friend that he thought he knew.

Nothing else was said as he found someone else just as the last thing that Cole said hit him like a ton of bricks.

J,
Don't fuck with me. You know I'll kill her. So stop looking for her.

A note as well as a picture of the battered face of Rebecca had been sent to him. It had arrived at the precinct and William handed it to Jace.
