Finn watched from afar, a scowl permanently etched on his face. Rebecca sat next to him, sleeping. His eyes saddened a little at the sight of the young brunette.
Her stomach had started protruding and it filled Finn with guilt and sadness. He didn't know that he was harming another person. He loved children, always had.
And he would never get the chance to see his son.
He sighed and looked at Jace's house that his parents paced in as they talked about what they needed to do to help make the process go faster. Finn was deaf to the argument about to erupt.
"Jace, you have to let us help. We can't just sit here and let you-," Tanya began to tell her son but he interrupted with an enraged look.
"You wanna know why I don't want you to help?" He asked, his voice so low, it caused his family to shiver. "The one person that I have ever truly given my heart to, the person that I want to have a future with, the woman that is carrying my child is gone. Do you think that I was going to let you go, my family, to go out in danger and possibly die?!" He asked, his family stunned, his younger brother's heart falling into his stomach.
William agreed with Jace and he took a deep breath before speaking.
"We can handle it. We are trained to do this. We are going to catch him. We are going to bring Rebecca home and that baby will be OK. Trust us." He said. Tanya nodded before going to her son and hugging him tightly. Henderson was hesitant but nodded. Alexander nodded and went to Jace.
"She's having a baby?" The youngest asked his brother. Jace nodded with a heavy heart.
How was the baby?
Was it a boy or a girl?
One baby or twins?
Were they both healthy?
The questions ran endlessly through his head. He wanted to know if they were healthy and OK. He wanted to see if Finn was still human.
Rebecca groaned as the baby moved wildly. If she had calculated right, she was about 26 weeks along. Finn had thankfully been giving her food and buying her vitamins but he knew she would have to go to the doctor.
"I...uh... got you... a doctor for you...and the baby." The blonde said as he got into the car once more, handing her a bag of donuts. "Your appointment is in 15 minutes."
She smiled a little and munched on her pastries and drank the orange juice that she had gotten earlier.
Fifteen minutes later, she was rocking her legs back and forth impatiently waiting for the doctor to come in. She had gained weight and had been taking has been taking her vitamins, the only thing that she wanted to do was make sure that everything was OK.
"Ms. Winstead, your blood work looks good, your weight is good now let's check the heartbeat and see that baby of yours." The doctor said with a smile.
Jace paced as yet another person that he thought that he could talk to ended up dead. Finn was one step ahead and he didn't know what to do. He knew that Finn was smart but not like this. This was insanity, a game in his mind that he had to win no matter what.
"Eat this," William said, tossing a white bag of In n' Out towards him. Jace took a deep breath and was about to protest when the tall blonde continued. "Don't tell me that you don't eat. If you don't eat that, I will literally blend it and force it down your throat." He said, walking to his side of the desk that he and Jace had began sharing.
The brunette sighed before opening the bag. He unwrapped a burger and soon found himself eating the other three burgers in the bag and two things of fries. William passed him two bottles of Coke-Cola and he drank those quickly.
