10. Walk Away

Alana's P.O.V.

"Man this pond is so gorgeous!" I told Mariana. It was kinda nice seeing this and not having to worry about Jack or anything. Me and Mariana had a little conversation for about 20 minutes.

"Hey I gotta go to the bathroom," Mariana said.

"Um ok haha.. don't take too long," I laughed.

"Don't worry Ill be back soon."

She left to go to the bathroom and I was just enjoying this gorgeous sunset and pond. It was literally dead quiet until I heard a voice from behind me.

"Wow this place is beautiful.." Oh no. It's Jack. I didn't want to talk to him so I just stayed silent. "And so is the sunset, everything about this night is beautiful," he added. I decided to start talking because it was really awkward,  "Yeah, the sunset is nice." and that's where everything started. "Alana.. I want you to hear me out.." he started. ugh I knew exactly where this was going.. "Look, I am soo sorry for what I did.. I didn't even mean it, I don't love Ashlee. I miss you and if you could just take me back and give me another chance-" I cut him off. "Jack.. I miss you a lot too but it's going to take a lot for us to become well 'us' again.." I said gently. "Oh I understand.." He said. I could clearly tell he didnt. "You were the best thing that's ever happened to me.. and I hurt you and you have no idea how sad I am.." He said. "Look Jack, I don't really want to see you right now so I'm going to go look for Mariana now.." I said almost crying. Like always, I walked away but before I left, I said "I think it's best if we don't see each other at all anymore.. Never Again.. Goodbye Jack," I walked away.

Jack's P.O.V.

Did she just say she wanted to never see me again.. Never Again? No.. The love of my life is walking away from me right now and I could do nothing to stop it. Everything we've been through together started racing through my mind.. until I remember homecoming night, when we won king and queen. We slow danced just the two of us that night when we won, to a slow love song. The song was,'Gravity' by Sarah Barrellies. (Dont know how to spell her last name..) Ever since that night shes loved that song.. and that what I needed to do. Before she was too far, I started singing.

'Something.. always brings me back to you.. and it never takes too long' I started singing and she stopped walking.

Alana's P.O.V.

I was walking away from him for the last time.. I didn't want to see him anymore. I was slowly walking when I hear my song.. our song. It was the song we slow danced to when we were crowned homecoming king and queen.. I stopped and smiled and tears filled my eyes. Was that Jack singing? Wow.. I never knew he could sing like that. He goes through the first verse as I turned around and just stared at him while he sang.. When he finished singing I was amazed. Who knew Jack Gilinsky could sing like that. Before I could say anything Jack says,"I wanted to let you know that I couldn't let you walk out on me like that.." I was flabbergasted.. He really is sorry and he really does miss me. I just don't know if I could trust him again.. "Jack. I didnt know you could sing like that.." I said shocked. "Yeah no one knew.." He said. I giggled a little bit and told him I had to go. "I'm sorry I really have to go.. Tonight was great though.." I told him. "I'll see you soon?" He told me hoping i would say yes. "Alright see you soon.." I walked away with a smile on my face and I could tell he was happy too. With all that happened tonight, I told Mariana everything and she told me why she was gone for so long. I guess I was happy..
