31. Graduation

Alana's P.O.V.

Oh my gosh.. It's time. The moment I have been waiting for is finally here. In a couple hours I will be a 2014 graduate. My speech is done and I'm currently getting ready. I have to be there by 5 and it's 3.

Jack's P.O.V.

This is it, I thought as I was fixing up my bow-tie. I'm about to graduate high school. Nobody except Sam, Emily, Mallory, and obviously Jack knows I'm back to graduate. I'm not sure how I'm gonna feel when I see Alana again, but hopefully it doesn't distract me.

** Skips to Graduation **

"Now please welcome our class of 2014 valedictorian Alana Robinson!" Our principal said. 'So she got it' I thought. When we were dating she would always tell me she wanted to be valedictorian, to be honest I'm very proud of her.. She worked hard for what she wanted and she got it. As she walked on to stage she looked absolutely stunning.

*Skips Speech/Rest of Graduation*

Alana's P.O.V.

I'm done. That was it. High school is over and now I'm leaving for college soon. As I greeted all my friends I started to get emotional. We're all heading different directions. I took pictures with lots of people so I kind of felt like a celebrity. I looked through the crowd and saw Jack. I heard his name during the diploma recovering but I didn't believe it. I went up to him.

"Jack.. Hey," I said with a smile. We hugged for what seemed forever.

"How are you?" He asked.

"Oh man. I'm great, life has been good," I told him. It's been 4 months since we last saw each other. "How bout you?"

"Great yeah just got accepted to college so I'm leaving soon."

"Oh that's awesome! What college?" I asked him.

"North Omaha University," He said. I was shocked. We planned on going there when we dated but I didn't think he'd remember.

"Are you serious? I'm going there too!"

Jack's P.O.V.

When she told me she was going to NOU too I was surprised but yet really happy. I thought maybe we could have our second chance there but why would I think that? I'm over her. Right?

"Hey.. um can I get a picture with you?" I asked kind of nervous.

"Yeah haha no problem," She smiled at me. Oh man.. That smile. She hasn't smiled at me in months, so I have to say it felt pretty awesome. I put my arm around her waist and smiled, then we took a funny faced picture. We smiled at each other and then hugged. She said bye and walked away. I looked at her than smiled at the ground. All of a sudden she turned around. "Text me sometime, we need to hang out soon." She smiled and turned around.

"Oh looks like she wants you again," My mom said mocking us.

"Haha ok whatever, can I have my phone?" I asked her. She gave me my phone back and I looked through the pictures she took. There was the normal one and the funny face one. I scrolled over and found more.. There was one where we were smiling at each other and the funny faces and a picture of our hug. Looks like my mom took more pictures than she needed too. I set the normal picture of us as my screensaver and posted the pictures on instagram.

Alana's P.O.V.

I'm on my way to get some dinner with friends after graduation. Goodbye Westside. I look through instagram and see all the pictures everyone is posting. I see the one Jack posted and screenshot it. Aw, we really did make a cute couple. I like the picture, lock my phone, and smile till we get to the restaurant. This marks the countdown till the 50 days left till I leave for college.
