48. Second Chance

Alana's P.O.V.

I have completely moved on from Sam. Just the thought of having everyone I need by my side at the moment is what got my mind off of him. I haven't met anyone who I might have interest in yet. Still waiting I guess. Anyways, life hasn't been great but it's good. Jack and I are good friends now. When we comforted each other through our heartbreaks, we became a lot of closer than ever. I'm really thankful and glad about it. I've been hoping that maybe one day we could've became best friends again. Jack Johnson always tells me to try and date him again, but I'm not sure. The friendship I have with Jack now is all I've wanted for months now. Maybe if Jack asked me out again I'd be willing too. I don't know though, giving someone a second chance is a big risk. But the main question is.. Am I willing to risk it?

Jack's P.O.V.

"C'mon man! At least ask her out on a date!" Johnson said. He's been trying to tell me that I should ask out Alana again but I don't know. We've basically started over. We met, became best friends, dated, broke up, became strangers, we were reunited, and now were best friends again.

"You guys weren't reunited for nothing! You guys aren't at the same college for nothing! and honestly Sam left for a reason.." He said.

"He left because he got an offer at another college," I said laughing.

"Yes but don't you think he also might've left because it might've been a sign," He said winking and nudging my shoulder.

"Haha what sign?"

"Don't you get it Jack! A sign that you and Alana can finally have your second chance! When we came to college you guys obviously weren't ready for a second chance so you dated Leigh and she dated Sam.. Now they're both out of your guy's life! Are picking up what I'm putting down?"

"Yes haha," I said laughing a bit.

"You guys became best friends again for a reason. It's like a sign from God! It's like he's been whispering in your ear,'Go Jack, this is your chance,'"

"Oh my gosh Jack you're hilarious and maybe I'll ask her out. but on a date!" I said.

"You better!" He said.

"I will! I'll ask her on a date tomorrow and we'll see what happens from there."

"Ok good. I'm gonna get something to eat," He said leaving the dorm. I was completely honest when I said I would ask Alana out again. Maybe Jack is right. Well forget the maybe, he is right! It's time for Alana and I to have our second chance. I have been waiting for the perfect time and this is it. I want her to be mine again. And hey who knows, maybe she's "the one." Nah, I'm just kidding I haven't taken her in a date yet and I'm over thinking. This is it. Tomorrow, I will start my second chance with Alana.
