37. Romeo & Juliet

Alana's P.O.V.

Today is the first day of class and I'm so excited to finally start getting my education. We have our elective first, and my elective is drama. Two days ago we had introduction so basically when we get to class we will be getting right to a new lesson. I walk in to class and I think I'm the last one in. I introduce myself and awkwardly sit in the front because those seats were empty. A few minutes later, Jack walks in. Are you serious? Jack. Out of all people I could've had a class with. I try to ignore him but it's hard when he only sits two rows behind me.

"So you all know the story of Romeo and Juliet, Correct? Well there's more to the story than just kissing on the balcony. It's a story of 2 lovers who are willing to do anything just to be together," the teacher started. Great. The last thing I need to hear about is love. I zoned about a bit until she said something that automatically caught my attention.

"There was another girl Romeo had loved before Juliet but Romeo left her. He thought she was too good for him, but didn't want to tell her that. The girl was unknown that's why nobody knows that part of the story. The young girl had to live everyday knowing the boy she loved ending loving someone else, and it hurt her." Just hearing those words.. hurt. All I could think about was Jack and Leigh.

Jack's P.O.V.

The words the teacher had just said were sad yet I realized that I acted like Romeo. I looked down at Alana who was sitting 2 rows below me. She looked down at her wrists. I tried to see what she was looking at, and there it was. The bracelet I gave her on our 3 month anniversary. It was a gold bracelet that had,"Here's too many more anniversaries with the one I love.. -Jack" engraved on it. I can't believe she still had that.. That bracelet meant everything to the both of us and I can't believe she kept it even though I hurt her 3 times. I felt guilty. I needed to fix all the problems but I'm not sure how. I knew Leigh was my Juliet, but what if Alana is?

Disclaimer: I know nothing about Romeo & Juliet so I made all this up for the sake of the story.. A lot of people have been saying they want Jack and Alana together but I don't want this to be a typical fanfic, I want a lot of plot twists. I'm still trying to figure out how Jack is going to tell Alana and how the book is going to end. But there mostly will be a sequel(: Let me know what you guys think! Thanks for voting!!
