Author's note: I don't really have anything to say... So just enjoy. And I have Volleyball tryouts all week and if I make the team updates may be harder. Sorry but life does exist outside of Wattpad lol. Anyway, I just skipped a few days to when the boys arrive.
Lainey's P.O.V
"What if this all goes wrong? What if they think we are just doing this for the attention? What if they are obnoxious? What if they think WE are obnoxious?" We were currently setting at our Secret Santa project studio and I was freaking out.
"Lainey, look at me," Em grabbed my face," Stop with all the "what ifs" already. Aren't you usually the one who always says "don't ever hold back, because you'll only be left with regrets and what ifs? Then why aren't you acting like that girl now?"
"I know, I know. But Em think about it. This is a whole new ballgame. Tons of children's Christmas's around the country are relying on this project. I just don't want to let them down." I stressed my worries to her. She wrinkled her nose in thought then carefully replied.
"I get what you mean. And your right, but do you honestly think any of those what ifs you just name are going to be true. Everyone knows we don't want to do this for the attention. Since day one we have been known for our love of charity. And if so many girls around the world love these boys I HIGHLY doubt they are obnoxious. And don't say they could just be acting, because that would mean they would have to act twenty four seven. And who would think we are obnoxious? I don't know about me, but Lain your one of the coolest, relaxed, sweetest people I know," Emma gave me her mini speech.
"Aw thanks,Em same to you," I wrapped her in a hug. "And you're right. I'm not going to stress about all this anymore. It's just going to be me, the relaxed chick. Now, let's call and see how long until they are here. Shall we?"
Emma nodded in agreement and I picked up the studio phone and dialed Simon's number. Yeah, that's right. Simon Cowell gave us his phone number. Probably not his smartest decision of his career... Em hit speaker so I put the phone down and waited till Simon picked up.
Simon's P.O.V.
Ring ring... I looked at my phone and saw it was the girls. I smirked at the phone, knowing of the silliness I was about to talk to. "Boys, be quiet. I need to answer this phone call!" I shouted to all of them. They all shut up right away and turned to face me on the phone. "Put it on speaker!" Louis demanded. I rolled my eyes, but did it anyway. I quickly hit accept and waited for chaos go being. "Hello..." I said slowly.
"HEY SIMON O PAL!" The two crazies yelled from the other end. "Simon O Pal?" Harry mumbled to Zayn. And Zayn just shrugged in confusion. "Ello, girls. How are you?" I asked being polite.
"Good," they replied together," All of the other things for the project are finished so alls we have to do is rehearse the whole entire time you and your gangster squad are in NYC with us,". Emma informed me.
"Emma, who exactly is my "gangster squad?" I chuckled at her word choice, taking a wild guess at who she was referring to.
"Oh you know who we mean. Those boys of yours..." Lainey answered for her, but then drifted off playing dumb. Oh these girls are quite the characters. If I didn't know any better I'd say they knew the boys were listening. I looked at all their faces and they all looked shocked or confused.
"I'm still not following. What boys are you talking about?" I decided to play along for the heck of it. Niall and Louis shot me the "are you serious?" look.
"Umm.. What's their name again, Em?" Lainey pretended to sound like she was thinking really hard.
"I can't think of their name either, Lain. Something about detention. Am I right Simon?" Emma faked like she was excited that she was close to discovering their band name.
