Author's note: This chapter is dedicated to @HORANrocksmyworld because she is just a totally insanely nice friend I've discovered! Love ya girl! Anyway, this chapter is back in to the point of view of Lainey, our lovely main character, who lets us write a fanfic about her life. This chapter will be an interview taking place right around the beginning of November, so don't get confused.
Lainey's P.O.V
"So you're already on your way, right?" Frank inquired for the umpteenth time. "Yes, director sir, I'm almost to the interview," I sighed exasperated by his questions. "Okay, okay. No need to get hostile. I think New York has infected you Ms. Potter," Frank joked.
I chuckled and replied with," Sir, one does not simply get an infection from New York, you get the full on disease."
"True, very true. Well good luck with your interview. Emma did fantastic with here's. I know you'll do the same. Everybody seems to adore you too!" He gushed proudly of us two, his little prodigies as he puts it.
"Yeah minus the hate trends on twitter every other day," I replied sarcastically. "Don't let those get to you. Now I got to go. Good luck!" He told me one last time then hung up.
Truthfully, I didn't care about the hate. If I don't know them, why should I care? It's not like I wake up just to impress them everyday.
"Make-up? Check. Hair? Check. Outfit? Check. Ear piece? Check." Once the stage director finished up making sure everything went alright, he gave me the thumbs up, and told me I was good to go.
"And we are on in five, four, three..." The camera director silently finished the count-down and the interview introduced the show.
"Hi! I'm Ellen, which you all know," she winked at the camera," today we have a special guest that is from all the way across the pond! And she has been in New York making quite the storm for about the last month now. Can you guess who?" The whole crowd started screaming my name. "You got it, please welcome Lainey Potter!"
With that I straightened out my outfit and walked on stage. The people were all on their feet clapping for me. Me, isn't that insane? That feeling I'm getting right now, I wish I could feel like this forever. Oh, and in case you couldn't tell the interview show I'm on is the Ellen Show! You knowing the one in L.A? Yeah, they invited Emma and I to fly over, and we couldn't refuse.
"Why, hello hello! Please take a seat,". Ellen motioned towards the chair closest to her, "it's such a honor to have you all the way over here in L.A with us today. Don't you think everyone?" The whole crowd started screaming with happiness evident in their voices.
"Oh please, the honor is completely mine! I'm on the Ellen show for heaven's sake. I may be british but I watched a ton of your interviews on YouTube, and I'm a huge fan. I never thought I would ever get a chance to sit here right now!" I spilled and then blushed rosy red.
The crowd just chuckled. "We should get straight to it then, huh?" And that's what we did. I had an hour long interview and we spent the first half with the basic questions. Family, college, life before "fame". What does this all feel like to you. We even played a game after the half time commercial break. Now we had fifteen minutes left, and we were about to get in to what they call the "juicy" stuff.
"Okay, okay. Now that was all fun but now we need to ask the questions everyone is just dying to know. Are you ready Lain?" Ellen asked me with my new found nickname she has for me. I nodded my head and she leaned forward.
"First question everyone wants to know is are you single or taken?" The whole crowd seemed to go dead silent in anticipation to my answer.
"Nope, I'm a single Pringle, and ready to mingle!" I stated proudly and added a joke in their too. The whole crowd, and Ellen, gasped.
"How on Earth could a drop dead gorgeous, talented girl like you be single?" Ellen asked still in shock.
"Quite simply actually. Lately there hasn't been time to even think about a boyfriend with college just starting, and now this, but don't worry give me a while to adjust and maybe just maybe ill get out on the market," I added a wink towards the camera and everyone wolf whistled. What can I say? I'm not exactly the shy type when it comes to boys. Oh well...
"You heard it here boys. Not to long from now THE Lainey Potter will be up for grabs. That means you only have a short amount of time to gather all your Lucky Charms. Cause you're gonna need them to get this one," Ellen indicated pointing at me with her thumb. I just rolled with laughter and everyone soon joined in. After we all calmed down Ellen asked the next question.
"Obviously you've had to have some sort of experience with boys after seeing your openness right there. So would you mind sharing relationship history?" Most people would be to embarrassed or shy to answer this. But Frank told me to just be my open, bubbly self and answer truthfully. And that's exactly what I did...
"Yeah, why not? I've had a total of 4 boyfriends in the past. 2 of which I'm actually still good friends with. The other two..... Well to put it nicely," I paused and turned to stare in to the camera,". Look at me now boys!," I shouted and did the what now motion. Everyone corrupted in to a fit of laughter.
"I absolutely adore just how care free you are with everything. And you even laugh at yourself, which is a good thing!" Ellen gushed and I blushed. Hey that rhymed! Shut up brain stop being weird we are in the middle of an interview!
" Sadly, our time has come to an end..." With that we ended the show and I hugged THE Ellen and thanked everyone again. Well that went well...
