The days went by slowly, but we fought every battle, every hardship.

Every nightmare, every fight.

Everything.

We grew closer, and the kids know they're loved.

And I know longer view this as a project, but as a family.

We graduate high school, and we receive scholarships.

The kids go to daycare as Lucas and I go to school. I attend art, he attends economy, something along the lines for farm land and politics. I never did pay attention.

I remember on that school bus, knowing I wanted to get married.

And so I waited.

And that desire only grew stronger.

On the day I turned 20, I remember being so convinced it was the day.

I remember the kids and friends whispering, about something shiny even.

Ya, that went down the drain very fast.

Lucas gave me a freaking necklace, not a ring.

But that's okay, because I'm happy, we're happy, everyone is happy.

Because we've found the secret to life.

Now, I'm just waiting until they to met the world now.

6 Years Later....

Elizabeth Friar's POV

"First day of the year and the last year of middle school," I sigh, curling my long brown hair. "Again."

"At least we get to go to high school together now!" Zoey exclaims, tying her brown hair back into a tight ponytail. "What would I do if you finished grade eight last year?"

"You have Isaac," I reply, setting the iron down with a thump.

"You'd expect me to hang out with your brother all year?" She asks.

"It's not like you don't every other day," I remind her.

"But that's because I have to!" She whines.

"But you two were like a huge thing when we were little."

"When we were five," She replies, rolling her eyes. "And anyways, he's so not my type."

I sigh, making my way downstairs, remembering the hours I used to spend obsessed over the two.

And now they've faded apart.

"Morning," Mom says, barely even glancing up from her painting.

And so another day begins in the Friar house.

Dad slams a plate down in front of me, and smiles.

"What is it with you and pancakes?" Isaac asks, not even glancing at the two of us. He goes straight to Dad, stealing my plate.
