Diamond shook her head. She couldn't believe that just happened.
"JCc! How are you holding up?"
She yelled to her friend. The goat dodged a knife thrown by Kamila. "Yeah, I'm fine! Just make sure Sapphyre stays with us ok?"
He shouted back. The neko nodded and went back to tending her friend's wounds.

JCc glared at Kamila, glowing flames swirled in his hands. Kamila gave the goat an icy cold stare and began to speak.
"Your a murderer JCc."
She said. Jcc made a pouty face.
"I know but it was an accident! Everyone here is going to die eventually anyway... And your going to become a murderer yourself if you keep this up Kamila."
He said. The Mage hesitated a bit before speaking again.
"Well this game changed us all... And we're going to have to live with it."
As she spoke she leaped and rammed into JCc at full force. He was knocked over but he summoned fire around himself for temporary protection. To his disappointment, before his flame shield was fully formed, Kamila came out with her dagger and brought it down as hard as she could. JCc quickly rolled to dodge the knife just in time and he stumbled to his feet. He brought out his sword and used his flame magic to transform the blade into a fire sword. He then swung at Kamila with full force.
"We can end this you know!"
He suggested.
"We can call a truce! You can join me and the others!"
He said. Kamila violently shook her head.
"No, I can't!"
She shouted back as she dodged his attack.
"I can't heal anymore! Everyone we know and ever loved is dying as we speak! This game kills people!"
Her voice cracked and she raised an arm to ready her special attack. "KAMILA NO!"
JCc yelled at the top of his lungs, recognizing the move she was about to do. A thousand knives appeared above Kamila's head, all pointing at the goat. "Sometimes we have to do things we regret to get what we want."
She said before signalling her hand for the knives to shower upon JCc.

Diamond lightly shook Sapphyre's shoulder.
"Come on wake up!"
She pleaded. The neko knew that she was alive because she could see that Sapphyre was breathing but her bleeding friend still had her worried. So Diamond gently slid her arms under Sapphyre and picked her up. She slowly walked to the side of the clearing of the cornucopia and softly placed Sapphyre at the base of a tree. Suddenly she hear JCc scream,
"KAMILA NO!"
One of Diamond's fox ears perked up. She had to see what was going on. So she turned, gave Sapphyre one last glance and ran.

JCc watched fearfully as Kamila swung her arm down. The world seemed to turn in slow motion as the thousand of knives came down. Suddenly Diamond threw herself in front of JCc just in time. She leaped high enough to protect JCc's head and chest. Diamond faced away from the knives and looked at JCc as blocked him. She gave him a small smile but her expression soon changed as the knives hit. JCc watched in horror as Diamond fell to the ground. A knife hit the goat in the leg but he just pulled it out in one quick motion and hurried to Diamond's side. She was struck with 4 knives but some had just scratched her. JCc let out a sigh of relief as he realized the worst hit would not kill her. The blade stuck into her lower back and the other three near her shoulders. Diamond breathed slowly so they wouldn't move and looked up at JCc.
"I'll... Take care of this... You keep fighting."
She glanced at Kamila who was surrounded by the rest of the knives that hit the ground. JCc gave Diamond a worried look but nodded and stood up to face the mage.

Diamond winced as she pulled out the knives she could reach and staggered towards Sapphyre. She still needed to make sure that both her allies would survive. The neko had no other choice but to trust that JCc would be able to take care of Kamila and not die.

Kamila's expression was not like her at all. It was engulfed with insanity. JCc limped on his hurt leg but he pulled out his sword and came in swinging. He charged at Kamila and tried to strike her but she swiftly dodged his attack. "Who are you!?"
JCc yelled, filled with rage. Kamila laughed.
"Who am I? I'm a player in this stupid game of course!"
She giggled. JCc just got even angrier and swung at her again. Another miss. "You don't act like Kamila at all! How can someone change this quickly in the game?!"
He shouted. Kamila's grin melted into a frown.
"Because sometimes... You're going to lose what matters, in this game but you won't have the chance to save it..."
She explained sadly.
"Well you almost caused that for me, you could've killed Diamond!"
He growled. Kamila stopped and stood looking down at JCc who had also come to a stop. He crouched to favour his bleeding leg.
"Well at least the friends around you are still alive."
The Mage said with sadness at the edges of her voice. The two took a moment to pause and organize they're thoughts a bit. JCc thought about what he would've done if he lost Sapphyre and Diamond. He shivered. He couldn't lose those two, it would mean the death of two of his close friends and a higher chance of him dying alone. Kamila scanned the goat's expression.
"See?"
She asked. "Everything about this is fucked up, badly."
JCc shook his head.
"Well you almost caused that for me. What's wrong with you?"
Kamila let out another small, sad laugh.
"You killed Arima without a second thought, Diamond killed UnderSans and knowing Sapphyre, she probably killed at least 10 people... And you guys are the 'nicer' ones. It's more like, 'what's wrong with all of us?' ...isn't it?"

•••

Sapphyre coughed and Diamond crawled to her side, still hurting from the knives.
"Sap! Your awake, thank god..."
The neko sighed in relief. The star guardian blinked a few times and coughed once more, blood trickled out of her mouth as she attempted to sit up.
"No, stay down Sap. Jcc's got it covered. You need rest... You can't lose too much blood ok?"
Diamond said softly with slightly watering eyes, afraid for her friend's health. Sapphyre hesitated but soon slowly nodded.
"Ok, fine. But you need to take care of yourself too."
She said, seeing that Diamond was also in very rough condition as well.
"Also, after this I get to punch that goat for stealing all the action."
She finished.
"Haha! Fine but don't hurt him that bad or else you'll be the one who's getting punched!"
Diamond replied with sass. Sapphyre regained her bright smile which soon melted into a frown.
"Hey, speaking of JCc, will he be ok? Kamila is a pretty good fighter."
She pointed out with worry.
"I know... I'm worried too but we gotta stay positive. Let's just hope that they get something figured out, I don't want anymore friends to die."
Diamond said. Sapphyre nodded and closed her eyes.
"Your right."
