A depressingly familiar beep sound echoed through the arena and everyone listened in. They never liked what the announcements had for them but they did have useful information about the games. Lilly let out a heavy sigh, not excited to listen and Sapphyre just had a sad expression. Meanwhile Mars just sat there motionless and JCc was trying not to go insane beside him. And Dia just perked up one ear with her eyes fixed on JCc's hate, making sure it didn't take over him. Then the Dark Figure's voice began to speak into the microphone.

"Hello everyone~!" She cooed.

"You may think that I'm going to say that the amount of members in the games have gone down a few hundred but... That's not it." She said with a darker tone.
"I came to let you all know that there have been almost no fights at all lately. Some have died from starvation and other natural ways but not by murder." The Dark Figure yawned before continuing.
"Anyways, I've decided that there must be some sort of way to... Spice things up. So I am letting down three 'Mutts' to cause a bit of a ruckus. You may recognize some features of these mutts from dead members in the games. They are meant to kill and they will not recognize you. But one group will get a mutt that they aren't as fond of as a prize for actually fighting! That's all I have to say and goodbye you monsters~!" She said before the announcement ended.

"Could that be us? The group that was fighting?" Lilly asked.
"Probably, I wonder who it will be..." Diamond pondered.
"I wonder if it's Papy..." Sapphyre guessed. JCc looked up, the insanity in his eyes disappeared for a bit.
"HA! If it's Papy then I would drop dead, right here, right now."
That's when JCc heard a familiar voice from behind him.

"The drop dead asshole."

"No way..." JCc said, turning around to see the Papy mutt with his chained, black wings.

"EW KILL IT!" Sapphyre screamed tackling Papy to the ground.
"MARS, WHERES MY KATANA?" She shouted.
"I don't know-" The redhead replied. Lilly laughed and Diamond sat back, enjoying the view of her friends killing Papy as JCc joined Sapphyre. The goat pulled out his sword and stabbed the winged mutt multiple times until his rival was dead. He stood up and calmly walked back over to the group and Sapphyre looked grumpy because she didn't get a chance to stab him.

"Wait, didn't the Dark Figure say that the mutt's shouldn't recognize us?" Diamond asked.
"That's true, she did say that..." Lilly said.
"He did call me an asshole..." JCc muttered.

"WHY DID HE RECOGNIZE THEM?!" The Dark Figure screamed. Her voice echoed through the metal room as she stared at the four televisions that showed the arena. She turned them off and the room went into total darkness. She summoned her white glowing spear into her hand and threw it on the ground. She grabbed a vile filled with a weird, white liquid and took a sip.
"Someone needs to be punished..."

All of a sudden, Mars decided to speak up.
"This might sound random but... Have you guys seen Scarf? I haven't seen her since the beginning of the games."
Everyone froze.
Sapphyre frowned and made eye contact with Mars.
"I'm sorry but... She's dead."

Silence.

"What."

"She's dead Mars."

"How.

More silence.

JCc stood up.
"Vamp killed her." He said. Mars looked at his feet and snarled.
"Where's Vamp..?" He asked.
"I killed him." JCc answered. Mars just sat there staring down. He took deep breaths and closed his eyes.

He imagined Scarf's beautiful brown eyes and her hair blowing in the wind. She would twiddle with her scarf a bit when she was nervous and it made him smile. He loved everything about her and knowing that she was gone killed him inside. Mars clenched his teeth as he remembered the last time he saw her. Sometime before the games, he had proposed. The moment burned into his mind. The feeling of the small box that held a dazzling diamond ring in his hands as he went down on one knee and popped the question. He remembered Scarf looking so happy when she said yes. And the magical feeling of her lips on his. Mars felt a tear roll down his cheek. That's all gone now. He looked up at JCc.
"I want to make Vamp suffer." He said with a sad, choked voice.
"He's dead." JCc said. "I killed him, remember?"

Mars felt his emotions melt away into rage. It's JCc's fault that he can't take the revenge he wanted. He needed to get this fiery anger out. Mars didn't even stop to think before he lunged out at the goat. Pain and fury blinded him as he punched JCc right in the face. Diamond screamed behind him and brought out a knife. Suddenly, Mars saw blackness crawl up onto JCc's nose and what happened next was all a blur.

JCc smirked maliciously and his expression didn't even match his personality at all. The hate was starting to take a toll on him. Mars didn't have a weapon since he had misplaced Sapphyre's katana so he raised his hands and trying to summon tiny moons to shoot at the goat. JCc only used to sword to quickly chop them away. Papy's blood was still stained on the blade. Mars looked a little bit frightened now. Diamond grabbed JCc's arm and yanked back at him but the goat only shoved her out of the way. This was definitely not like JCc at all. That's when Mars began to run. He needed to get away.

Mars ran and ran, he could hear JCc close behind him with Sapphyre, Lilly and Diamond joining in chase too. They had to stop JCc. Mars looked back and saw a maniacal smile on the goats face. Mars shivered and kept running until suddenly a root caught his foot. It felt like slow motion as he fell to the ground. His head hit a rock hard and blood trickled down his forehead. Everything became blurry but in the short amount of time before he blacked out, Mars saw a blonde stranger facing JCc, ready to fight.
