Quick, sharp breaths were made as the cloaked girl ran through the metal hallway. Her slippered feet making patting sounds as she hurried to her destination. She noticed a turn in her path and she slid across the hard floor and headed left. Her hands fumbled and something she was carrying and it fell onto the ground with a clattering noise. The thing she had dropped was a glass vial.
"Ah!" She exclaimed worriedly. She knew that this vial was extremely important. It has a liquid in it that would cause the 'mutts' to lose the member's personality. The mutts were wolves who combined with dead members from the games to create a wolf-like creature. The mutts would look slightly like its fused member that its merged with and it was as if the dead person had reincarnated into a wolf. The liquid the cloaked girl had would change that. All she had to do was splash it onto the mutts and they would act like the killers they were meant to be.

Suddenly the girl halted to a stop and in front of her was a door. It had no windows and no lock or any sort of security. Security wasn't needed because no one except her and the other girl also known as "her empress" could be in the games control area. It was a large place that almost seemed to float in the sky and was invisible to anyone in the arena below. The cloaked girl carefully pushed the door open and creeped in. A female voice squeeked in surprise.

"Crap! Were going to get tortured again aren't we?"

"Arima, shut up and don't give her any ideas!" Another voice growled.

"Papy, leave her alone." Another female voice commanded.

"You can't tell me what to do Dash!" Papy huffed angrily.

"Guys hush, shes coming closer..." Arima whispered.

The cloaked girl slowly approached, looking around. There were three mutts in a cage. The three were very different from eachother. Papy was standing taller than the two others and he seemed a bit too confident in himself. He had red fur with a white face and white paws. Jet black wings sprouted from his back but they were chained together making them useless. To his right was Arima with orange and white fur. She had a longer, fluffier coat and the tips of her ears and fur around her face were edged blue. To the left was Dash. She was a soft green colour and fluffy texture to her fur.

"What do you want with us?" Dash asked.
The cloaked girl brought out the vial hesitantly.
"If you touch this liquid, you will lose your true personalities. You would all become meant to kill the members in the arena." She explained. Arima flinched at the thought of killing her friends.
"Please don't..." She whispered.
The cloaked girl popped open the cork that held the vial closed and tipped it so the liquid poured onto the ground. It quickly evaporated and vanished from sight.
"You need to pretend you're ready to murder until you're in the arena. No talking from now on." The girl explained. The three mutts glanced at each other in surprise. This stranger had just done them all a huge favour that could lead to her death or extreme suffering for treason.

"I'm so sorry! I'm so so sorry!" Blade cried, falling to his knees. He gagged as he saw a small trail of blood trickle down Kittens chin from the corner of her mouth. He had just killed one of his old friends.
"I r-regret everything right n-now." He stuttered, feeling light headed.
JCc sat down beside him.
"Welp." The goat began.
"Saturn's going to kill you, you're so screwed." He said.
Diamond sat at Blade's other side.
"Hey she might not be dead..?" She suggested, placing two fingers lightly on Kittens neck underneath her chin. Blade blinked away his tears and watched Diamond with hope in his eyes. Diamond took away her hand and hesitantly looked over at Blade with a very nervous smile.
"You're smiling! She's alive?" He asked.
"Uhh... Haha... Not really..." Diamond explained, looking down at the ground.
"So, I... I killed Kittens?" Blade whispered. Diamond replied with a curt nod.
"Yeah, basically." She answered. JCc made a 'Phht' sound.
"Maybe we should call over Saturn." He said. Blade froze up and tensed but soon let out a sigh and slouched.
"She would learn she's dead anyways so go ahead..." He said sadly. He curled up and brought his knees close to his chest staring down at Kittens dead body.
"I can't believe that I did this... Ive... become a murderer..."

Mars tilted his head at Saturn.

"You don't want to fight?" He asked.

"Yeah that's it." Saturn replied. Mars chuckled and eventually started to laugh a bit harder.
"That's exactly what I want!" He exclaimed. Saturn smiled and let her axe hang loose in her grip.
"Alright!" She said happily. Suddenly booing was heard from the side.
"Booooo! Boring! We want a fight!" Lilly and Sapphyre called sarcastically. Mars and Saturn glanced at each other then stuck they're tongues out at their small audience.
"Nope!" Mars said.

"Saturn!" A far off voice began to call.

Everyone turned to see JCc standing there.
"Saturn come over here! There's been an... Accident." He said, his expression darkening. Saturn could already guess what had happened and she froze. It felt as if her feet were glued to the ground. She examined JCc's expression and read him like a children's book.
"No, she can't be..." Saturn breathed out.
"What the hell is happening over here?" Sapphyre asked as she ran over to the group, pulling Lilly behind her by the wrist. The star guardian took one glance at everyone's faces and knew that things were bad.
"Oh..." She said quietly. Lilly pulled her wrist back from Sapphyre's grip and shook out her hand to regain circulation. She looked back up with sympathy in her eyes.
"Who died?" Lilly asked.
"Kittens." JCc answered. As JCc spoke her name, Saturn buried her face into her hands. She shuddered small sobs. Mars went closer to Saturn and hugged her in failed attempts of comfort. But after a few moments she looked back up and pierced her watery gaze into JCc's eyes and opened her mouth to speak.

"Take me to my wife."
