Sapphyre felt herself in a warm bed, the light was a shade of blue that reminded her of oceans. She slowly opened her eyes and she saw herself running on the smoothest field she's ever seen in her entire life. The CCA squad was running beside her. The thing was she didn't even feel her legs moving. She liked it that way. She could be lazy but feel the wind on her face at the same time. But something wasn't right. Sapphyre realized she couldn't feel the breeze. And suddenly she wasn't on the nice field anymore. She was in a clearing that was surrounded by trees, it was late morning, just before noon. The clearing became darker as time passed by. Blood seemed to be rising from the earth and staining the drying blades of grass growing on it. Bodies of people Sapphyre recognized were scattered all over the ground. Suddenly she felt a hand on her shoulder and so she whipped around to see who it was. It was the dark figure. Her voice didn't sound the same though. It sounded like a child. A taunting child.

"I ruined your life."

The star guardian jolted upright from a bed that looked like something you'd find in a cheap hospital. It was a white mattress held up with white metal bars and a thin sheet that covered her. The room she was in was empty. The walls were also painted white and a single lightbulb was on in the middle of the ceiling. There was one door to the right of the bed. Sapphyre sighed to herself. Wishing that the nice part of that dream were real. But as she began to feel more awake, she remembered what happened the day before. Tears started to edge at her eyes but she quickly wiped them out of sight.

They're all dead... They're all dead... They're all dead...

How long has it been?

Why did I win?

Why do I have to be the one that lives...

Why did I have to be the one to be alone in the end...

And as if her thoughts were heard, the door opened and the dark figure entered.
"I'm guessing you have a lot of questions?" She asked in a distorted sort of tone.
Sapphyre didn't answer. She refused to talk to the person who caused all of this. If the dark figure were a person. She looked alien-like. Her eyes were glowing bright white and her mouth was invisible but the rest of her was completely black. She leaned back against the wall with her hands behind her back and her legs crossed. It was a very casual position and it disgusted the star guardian. It disgusted her because every single one of her friends died and the dark figure acted like this was just any other day. The dark figure stepped forward, no longer leaning on the wall but she still had her hands together behind her.

"You seem angry, here... Let me fix that for you."

And without warning, the dark figure pulled out a bat and hit Sapphyre just hard enough to knock her out. And everything went black.

Everything was spinning. There were sparkles at the edges of Sapphyres's vision. It took her a moment to realize what happened. She began to pick herself up. She was on the floor and the second she lifted her head a sharp pain hit her. She grimaced and lightly felt her head where it hurt the most. But when she actually looked up, a wave of emotions washed away every other thought in the moment. A hand grabbed Sapphyre's arm and helped her up but the star guardian didn't notice it. All she could focus on was was she saw in front of her eyes.
