Chapter 27 - Headphones

"What do you mean your going to die?!" Lilly exclaimed as she shook JCc by the shoulders. The goat stayed silent despite the shaking and his face was dark. The hate was crawling up again and it filled in the back of his head. Lilly noticed this and let go.
Sapphyre stepped up. "JCc, you need to calm down, it's the hate getting to you. Your not going to die."

JCc shook his head.
"If the hate could take over more than one person at a time than why did it not take everyone? Because I'm sure that every player was filled with rage straight from the start of the games..."
Sapphyre growled.
"You need to shut up! Just because it can't take everyone doesn't mean it only takes one! Look we need to-" Suddenly Sapphyre felt a hand on her shoulder. "Wha-?" It was Diamond. The neko was looking pretty grim. Though the star guardian could understand why she was. She and JCc were married anyways. Sapphyre backed off and joined Lilly and Jesse to watch so Diamond could handle his situation.

"Hey, just try to fight the hate, ok?"

"..."
"...ok."

...

"I think it's working..."

Suddenly Jesse spoke up. "Probably not a good time, but I'm curious. JCc, where are your headphones?"

The goat froze and the alliance stared at Jesse. They knew that was probably the worst thing you could possibly say when JCc has hate trying to take over. The goat shuddered but he decided to answer despite the horrid memory.
"A rock was thrown into the cave we were in and... It hit my headphones..."

Jesse made an awkward "um" sound.
"Well, this may be a coincidence but... This morning, outside a cave, some person attacked me and-"

"And what?"

"I threw rocks at them."

"...Did one land in a cave?"

"Yes."

"Followed by shattering sounds?"

"Uh... Yes."

"..."

Sapphyre grabbed Jesse's arm. "You should run."
Jesse gave the star guardian a questioning look. "Why?"
Lilly grabbed Jesse's other arm. "Because JCc is about to brutally murder you for breaking his headphones." She said, glancing at the shaking goat.
Jesse shrugged. "I can just stab him, I'd be able to beat him in a fight any da-"
Suddenly Diamond popped up. "Hurt him and your dead."
Jesse blinked a few times. "Yeaahhhh, I don't want to be apart of the collection of bodies in your clos-"
"SHH, just run!" Dia hushed.

"Yeah, good idea." Jesse agreed as JCc began to stand up. She pulled away from Sapphyre's and Lilly's grip then ran off into the woods. Once she was out of sight JCc sat back down. He didn't relax though and the hate didn't stop growing.

Sapphyre looked at Diamond. "Did Jesse just say you have a closet filled with bodies?"
"Uhh..."
"Because I do too!" She exclaimed happily. Lilly jumped up.
"HEY ME TOO!"
Diamond did jazz hands. "Dead-bodies-in-closets-buddies!"
Sadly, this short happy (yet horrifying) moment came to an end. JCc's state wasn't getting better and the alliance needed to help.

"Should one of us go after Jesse to see if she's ok and not dying from an attacker or-" Sapphyre asked.
JCc's eyes widened at the mention of her name. "She killed my headphones..."
Sapphyre shook her head. "Actually maybe dead headphones plus person who broke them plus vengeful JCc is probably not the best idea."
Diamond nodded.
"True" Lilly said.
