CHAPTER-9

I didn't sleep that night. I got up from my bed and did all the routine works. I was getting ready for school when someone called out the name Alice. Only Jacob used to call me by that name. I prefer Alice to Alishia. I like that name more because it's a modern name. I looked out through the window and smiled at Jacob. My dad left a not for me in the table which said:

Honey.. I'm sorry for leaving you alone in the house...but I got some important works to do...so I will see you around 8:30.. take care...

I understood his situation and went outside the house. Jacob walked towards me and I hugged him. I said him about the dream I had last night. "Do you read any thriller or horror books or watch any movies of that kind all time?" he asked. "Come on Jake...I'm not kidding.. this is serious.....don't you understand? Yesterday I had a strange vision of you being killed, then I saw that strange man, and at last I had the most horrible nightmare" I said him. He said me to ignore these things, but it wasn't that easy for me. While on our way to the school we saw Shushantron playing with his pet. We both went to his home to have a talk. He was patting his cat. I noticed something weird with his cat, it was its paw, it had the same scar that I saw in the knife of that man in my dream. "The name is Casper. Beautiful isn't he?" asked Shushant. "yeah.....he is" replied Jacob. I remained silent. "Huh...wait a moment guys....I will join you..we shall go to school together..shall we?" asked Shushant. We agreed. Now we three were walking to school. I thought of asking about the cat to Shushant but then I hesitated. We reached our class and sat next to each other. The first lecture was more than enough for a good sleep. The next hour our professor didn't come and instead a substitute professor came.
