CHAPTER-18

I opened the book and it was written "Jacob" on the very first page. On the bottom of the page there was a logo in which the letters "A.T.W" were written inside a circle of fire. I turned to the next page. On it the following were written:

Hey, Alice.. I know you didn't expect this from me!! so did I. Am really sorry ya.. I'll confess everything to you. The day when I found you in the woods I was there to kill you, but I couldn't. because there was still a feeling left in my heart, Which reminds me always that you are my friend. But that won't help you always Alice. I have to kill you, I can't stop myself from killing you. I was the reason for the fire that occurred on your house the other day. Just two days ago I found out that Barney was an agent. So I went to his house the next day when he was not there and explored everything inside his house and at last I found the secret door behind the wall, today when he left our class I followed him to his house and found him packing all his belongings.. I suddenly pushed him on the bed and fell over him. I then picked him up and pushed him against the wall and he fainted. So I brought him downstairs and tied him up in the chair and rushed back to the school before the second hour was over. I entered the school by jumping over the wall near the playground. I then found you coming out of the staff room, you said that you wanted to meet Barney, I really did expect that from you. So I thought I could kill all the three of you at the same time. I wrote this book when I was searching for a entrance to his house. I am sorry Alice...will miss you.

I finished readingthis. A drop of tear ran through my cheeks. I went out of my room and stoppedan agent who passed by and asked him the way to go to the terrace. "Um.......sorryma'am.. for some security reasons you are prohibited from going out from thisfloor.. but you can still roam anywhere within this floor...so go have some fun"he said. "Where is the fun in that....sticking around in one floor??" I repliedand I went back inside my room. There was a small TV in my room, I turned iton. There was a show telecasting in one channel. It was really funny. After awhile someone knocked my door. I looked through the window and it was Shushant.I opened the door, he entered the room and gave me a smile. I smiled back andasked him to sit next to me. He sat down. "So...are you ok?" asked Shushant."yeah I'm ok...are you?" I said. "Never better Alice." He replied. "So....is healive?" I asked. "Yeah he is....actually I almost killed him with the knife butstill he ran away with that knife. Don't worry Alice...he will live...not forlong." Said Shushant. "Don't kill him...someone has changed his mind....if I had achance to talk with him, I would definitely change his intention of killing me.So can you arrange a meeting with him." I asked. "No....definitely not...am notdoin it..sorry..." he said firmly. "Fine...so what are you gonna do? Wait for himto get here and kill me. Look Shushant we have to make a move." I said him."Well.....let's not make that move now...ok..why don't you get some sleep." Hesaid. I said him good night and he left my room. I guess my dad doesn't knowthis or who knows, he might know. I tried to get some sleep but I couldn't. SoI went out of my room, and what a surprise, those people where still working,and the time is 3:22 AM. They are really professional. One of them saw mecoming and stoop up suddenly. "Anything you need ma'am?" one guy asked. I said"A glass of water would do." He brought me a glass of water and I had it andwent back to my room. I had no privacy there, my every actions are checkedregularly. I really hate it there. I suddenly doze off. I had a dream. Jacoband I were sitting together in a park and were chatting. Suddenly a that knifewhich had the handle of a cat's paw pierced Jacob's heart and he fell down. Istood on my legs and saw Shusant coming towards me with that very same knife. Iwent near Jacob and held his head in my palms. "Alice get out of here....now...heis gonna kill you...don't worry about me. My life is not as important as your's.They need you..if they got you, your life is in absolute danger.....get outAlice...get out." he said.
