--Toast's POV--

When sir and I were far enough away from the house, he began to question me, considering he was just as confused as the Pines. I told him that we went and had breakfast, he thought he saw a ghost, we went to investigate and got overpowered. That wasn't enough though.

"That doesn't explain why we're having headaches in perfect sync... Do you think it messed with our heads?"

"I don't know sir, it made me pass out, remember?" I shuttered at the thought of the nightmare, "besides, it's nothing a bit of medicine and sleep can't fix, right?" He nodded, but I could tell that the pain was growing like it was for me. We were both crying nonstop tears that stung like acid when they went down our faces.

"Sir, what time is it? Whatever it was took my watch for some reason."

"Yeah, don't worry, but next time, bring your phone instead of your watch." Johnny pulled out his phone and wiped out the still- wet black paint that had been smudged on it. He paused to look at it and just stared at the screen afterwords. He never even turned it on...

"Hey Johnny..."

"Yeah sir?"

"What's up with my eye?"

I paused and spun around. Sure enough, the glossy phone screen reflected his face, darkly mirroring the blood-red iris of his left eye, foggy from the randomized tears that arrived with our headaches. It'd been like that since he woke up, a physical way to show Jimmy and his fight for control... So far sir had hasn't snapped yet,(apart from yelling at Mabel) and we were almost to the car, so soon I could calm him down with my usual techniques.

"Probably just an after effect, sir."

"Why don't you have it?"

"I don't know... The ghost did keep you awake longer, maybe that has something to do with it."

"Yeah... I guess..." He replied in thought, "when we get back, may we have some tea?"

"Of course sir! Which tea would you like?"

"Anything but your great aunt's peppermint tea. That stuff is nasty." He said, scrunching up his face like a four year old. I chuckled a bit.

"Alright, that is true." I nodded and continued walking. "Please don't tell her I said that, sir. You know how my family can get..." He followed me, nodding.

"Oh, remember that one Thanksgiving when your dead grandma tried to invite herself when she was overlord of the zombies?" He chuckled, "wow, that was bad."

"Oh, come on, sir. it wasn't that bad..."

"Johnny, it wasn't just bad, it was horrible. And hilarious. At the same time. Especially when Jinny made that one explode on you by tasering it in the gut." He shook his head, smiling at the memory of my sister covering me in zombie guts.

"That... Wasn't that funny sir..." I said, trying not to laugh as well. He just shrugged a bit and continued to follow me through the vast thickness of trees.

"It's eleven thirty by the way." He said as he climbed across a fallen tree that lay on the ground, "you just asked, remember?"

"Yeah, I remember, sir." I tripped on a clump of grass, "ow."

"Johnny are you alright?" Ghost asked, laughing. It seems he forgot that one of his eyes was an unusual shade of color... I stood and brushed myself off, laughing with him.

"Yeah, I'm fine sir... Just a pratfall." I told him, blinking through the ever consistent tears. "Alright, sir, camp should be just over this hill."

He nodded, "okay. You got lucky though. I was this close to asking you to carry me again." he said as we began to hike the tiny slope. He laughed a bit, "man, twice in two days... We haven't been this active since the last time we went rock- climbing in the sewers."

"That was horrible, sir... Let's hope we never have to do that again."

"Knowing your fangirls, we probably will." Ghost said, "course I wouldn't know..."

"Sir, you have plenty of fangirls! I promise!"

"Well none of mine have shown themselves to me. Or asked me to marry them."

"That was a one time thing!"

"I hope not!" Johnny replied, smiling, "it was hilarious."

I frowned at him, "well, if the marriage thing doesn't become a one-time thing I hope being used as a jungle gym does."

"Yeah..." He scrunched his eyebrows together, "I can't believe I actually shot you... That was defiantly a one time thing." He said.

"I know sir." I replied, "you wouldn't do something like that." "Jimmy would though." I thought, finishing the sentence in my head. We got sort of distracted, walking and talking and laughing like it was the end of the world. Which it would be eventually if I was right...

--Maxwell's POV--

"Wow. McGucket still doesn't know I'm here? I've been here THREE HOURS. I thought th' guy was down genius or somethin'... Most people acknowledge me around one..." I mumbled, drifting above McGucket in the biggest room of his house, the main hall. I was floating on one of the many chandlers he had in that room. I looked to it, "Would he notice me if this fell?" I thought about it, "nah, he can't notice me if he's dead."

I flew through a wall, "I'm sooooo bored! UGH! Might as well star' stealin' his stuff now." I picked up something random. A mirror. I flinched, threw it in the air and then shot it down. "There we go. More time I can spend here." I hear some noises in the hall. I think McGucket heard me! I waited for him to come in.

"Who ar' you?" McGucket asked in his hillbilly voice, matching how he looked despite all the jewels and riches around him. I looked to him, smiled, pointed the gun to him, and teleported before I pulled the trigger. I shot a pillow in the attic and cackled to myself. Soon he'd call in Ghost and Toast, and I'll mess with them and leave again. This day was looking up.

I heard something behind me and looked there and all I saw was a glow...

And a demon.

"Git out! This here is MY territory now. I don't care how strong you are or how long you've bin here, I've killed worse when weaker." My gun magically reloaded and the triangle laughed.

"Well you'll do nicely!" he said before snapping his fingers.
