Chapter Fourteen

Just a glimpse kung ano ang issue nila sa buhay. Maiksi lang po ito. Sana magustuhan ninyo. hehehe 

ADRIAN'S POV

"Adrian, dad and mom are here," Yumi is knocking this damn door non-stop. "Dinner is ready".

I sighed. I threw my pen on the drafting table and leaned on the chair. "I'm busy". Napapikit ako at minasahe ang sentido. 

"Adrian, come on. Ayaw mo ba makasabay sila Dad?" Yumi asked while continue knocking the door. 

 Napailing ako at tumayo para buksan ang pintuan. "What?" 

Yumi frowned. "Ang init ng ulo mo kanina pa. I said Mom and Dad are here. They are looking for you"  she smiled and pointed her fingers on my chest, "you're dead.tsk.tsk". 

I grinned. "You must be kidding, I guess ikaw ang lagot," I said before closing the door and went down the stairs. 

"What? Anong ako ang lagot?,"  she asked while following me downstairs. I shrugged and went to the dining area where Mom and Dad are waiting. 

Judging on the way they speak, I guess they are arguing about something. Hindi malakas ang boses nila, they almost whispering. I pulled the chair and it made a sound, loud enough to get their attention. Sabay silang napatingin sa akin. 

"Son," Dad said cheerfully. I looked at them and nodded. Mabilis akong kumuha ng pagkain na nakahain na sa lamesa at nagsalin sa sariling plato. 

Kahit hindi ako tumitingin sa direksyon nila ay alam kong nakatingin sila sa akin. Walang umimik sa mga unang minuto nang magsimula kaming kumain. 

"So...how's school?,"  Dad asked tentatively habang nagsasalin ng pagkain sa plato ni Mommy. 

"It's good!"  Yumi answered bago sumulyap sa akin, "school fair will be two weeks from now. Guest what?" she's excited. Napaangat naman ako ng tingin sa kanya. She's smiling at me. 'Ano na namanang iniisip nito'

"What?" halos sabay-sabay namin na tanong. 

"They asked me to come up with new photographs for the exhibit. I will be a part of the exhibit. Alast!" she said cheerfully. "You better come because I am also a nominee for some student body award".

"That's great"  Dad smiled and held Yumi's hand, "great job". 

"The theme will be 'Fiercer than Flame. You wll be my model" she said habang itinuturo ang tinidor sa akin. 

"No! " I disagreed and continue to eat. 

"Yes!" she exclaimed and looked at our parents, "Mom and Dad will see my works. That's why I need the best subject for the theme," she smiled sweetly. 

"When is that? Mom asked.

"Two weeks from now" sabi niya saka biglang natigilan, "oh. No...no... no... don't tell me na may business trip na naman kayo?" Yumi grabbed dad's hand, "Dad... you can't do this to me". 

I chuckled and looked at my parents. Saglit na nagkatinginan si Mommy at Daddy na parang nag-uusap ang mga mata. Unang nagbaba ng tingin si Mommy at sumulyap sa akin. Dad also looked at me and smiled. 

"Of course, we will be there" Dad said while looking at me. He then looked at Yumi, "we will be there, kami ni Mommy". Dad looked at Mom and hold her hand. I saw Mom smiled at him.

"That will be great!" Yumi said and continue to eat. 

"How about you, son?" Mom looked at me, "it seems that you are not happy to see us", may bahid ng tampo ang tono ng boses niya.
