You don't even want to go home to see your parents today. You hung around the school for a couple hours until you were so bored you couldn't stand it anymore. There was also the fighting of the urge to cry again. You decided to make your way home.
You walk past the gym to see volleyball practice getting out. You take a deep breath and try to go past the door as quick as you can. You want to avoid Bokuto
"(l/n)!" Bokuto exclaims as he exited the building, "(l/n)! Wait!"
You sharply turn around, "Of course you're bugging me right now! Didn't you hear what I said?!"
"I know something is wrong, (l/n)! You aren't yourself at all and I want to help you!"
"I don't need your help, okay!" You exclaim through the tears. "I can deal with this on my own!"
"You're crying, (l/n)! You need the help of someone! It's obviously hard for you! If you won't go to anyone then at least come to me!"
You somehow thought it was a good idea to take jabs at him, "You never listen to anyone! You think you can do whatever you want and that's what messes with your emotions! It's no one's fault but your own for that! You expect too much out of everything you do! You're expecting too much out of me too! Leave me alone, Bokuto-san! For once! Please! Listen to someone! Listen to me!" You sob out to the boy in front of you.
You whip back around and try to escape but you feel the familiar hold of the boy. You slap his hand away. "Goodbye, Bokuto-san."
Why do you do this? Why do you keep pushing him away? The letter says not to but...
Screw the letter. Who cares anymore. You wish you never got the whole dumb letter in the first place then nothing like this would have ever happened. Your current biggest regret is ever opening the damn thing.
Bokuto was left behind. The others tried to talk to him to get him to leave but Bokuto couldn't find it in himself to do anything. All he could do was stare at your retreating figure.
You said goodbye. Were you done with him? Does this mean you guys aren't going to be friends anymore? Did he blow it by not giving you your space? Bokuto was only trying to help you...
"Bokuto-san, we should all go home now." Akaashi says to the male before him. "She'll come around eventually."
"...I don't think she will..."
"Please." Akaashi begs his friend for their wellbeing. "Let's go home. That's what you both need right now."
Bokuto slowly follows after Akaashi, "Do you think she's done with me?"
Akaashi has lied about a lot of things to help Bokuto's mood. This isn't one of the things he was going to lie about.
"Time will tell, Bokuto-san."

"H-Hey, Bokuto-san." You say as you approach him. Bokuto is standing by the cafeteria door, waiting for Akaashi so they can get lunch together.
"Hi." Bokuto says emotionlessly, looking at the door and not at you. "I have a meeting with a teacher so I have to go."
"O-Okay. I hope it goes well..."
Something in you tells you that was a lie.
Bokuto gives you a nod and heads off. He didn't even so much as look at you. You really ruined things, haven't you?
