Chapter 7 - The First Herobrine Encounter

---Jason's POV---

"So you chopped down that tree?" I asked, sitting at the table, with Jack and Becky by my side. It was already morning, and we could hear the cows, pigs, sheep, and chickens roaming outside.

"Please don't remember me. It was nighttime, and I had a wooden axe with me." he said, chuckling.

"What about the dirt house?" I said.

"And the lit-up cave?" asked Becky.

"That was me, too."

"You scared me. A lot. First I thought it was Herobrine." Becky said, laughing.

But suddenly, the lights started to flicker (we have redstone lamps, found 'em in some chests), then they went out. Also, this caused the emergency contraptions to activate, so there wasn't any light in the house, and we were trapped in.

"Guys, what happened?" asked Jack.

"Don't know. Wait a second."

I made my way to a chest nearby, which wasn't easy, because all I could see was pitch black, brought some torches and lit them up.

"That should do it. I'll go check the power panel. Becky, go check the lamps. And Jake, you stay here and guard the house."

"Ok." they said in agreement

I took a torch and made my way down in the basement, where the generator was. But there, I saw something very, very strange.

There was a diamond sword plunged in the generator, with electrical sparks jumping from it, with a note on the ground.

On the note were scribbled only two letters: "BE", and on the other side "HER"

I took the sword and the note, went upstairs, and saw Jack and Becky standing there too.

"You'll never guess what I found." we all said in unison.

"You first." said Jack.

"Well, I went down to the generator, and I found this sword plunged into it, and this note on the ground." I said, then showed the note to them.

"It happened to me too! I went to check the lights' electric primary wire, and found that the wire was cut. Also, I found this note." said Becky, and handed me the note. There was scribbled "WA" and "OBR".

"I found this note near the exit." spoke Jack, then gave me the note. There was scribbled "RE" and "INE".

Everyone was dumbfounded, and suddenly, a strange force took over my actions.

"Wait." I said, then took a torch and the notes with me. "Let's see. This goes here... this here... no... THIS goes here..."

"Umm... Jason? What are you doing?" said Becky.

"Shut up. I'm trying to think." I said in an angry tone. Why did I do that? "I've got it! Guys, come here!"

I looked down at the big note that I created. It said on one side "BEWARE" and on the other side "HEROBRINE". Right then, the lights went back on, and the emergency lock... well... unlocked.

"Strange. So, we found two words." said Jake.

"Wait. WE? I've done everything by now, and you take all the credit - MY credit." I said, wishing that I could regain my senses. Seems that my wish wasn't granted, because I blacked out.

---Jack's POV---

"Dude, you okay?"I asked, frightened.

"No, 'dude'! I'm not okay!" he yelled. "You know what? I'm sick of you, and your bulls**t!"

Wow. This was the first time I heard him swearing.

He turned to me, his hand clutching the sword's handle.

"Now, DIE!" he screamed, then charged towards me.

I grasped hold of my sword too and blocked his attack. I pushed him on the ground, but he hit me in my stomach and cut open my arm. I fell on the ground, in pain. He was about to cut my throat too, when he fell on the ground. Then, I saw Becky with a steel rod in her hands.

"Oh God! Are you okay?"

"Well, not so fine."

"What just happened?"

"Don't know. But there was something strange at him."

"What?"

I looked at her with a frigtened look.

"He had white eyes."
