"Sam? Wake uuuuup... Come on Sammy Sam..." said I, in a desperate try to wake Sam up.
No answer.
"SAM!"
"OKAY, OKAY! I'M AWAKE!"
"Finally. Come on, you need to get up."
"Oh damn. I forgot."
"I'll bring Jack."
"Yeah, sure."
"JAAACK!"
"OKAY, OKAY!"
It's been a month since the incident. Life here is great. I and Becky have a house near the end of the village. Jack is staying with Sam, and Adam stays with Jerome.
The Excalibur village is rather big. I has 17 villagers, including us: Estrella, a witch who they found, Mike and Kris, the guards, Emily, the medic, Ken, a "sniper" of the assault team, and finally Anna, who is helping Emily. Mom was preparing the food with a woman named Lola and my dad was in charge with the farming, with the help of a boy named Nick.
The mobs, on the other side, weren't accepted to stay in the village. I still remember what Scar said about them.
The conversation started pretty brutally.
He slammed his fist on the desk and said:
"Are you crazy? How can we let those... those... monsters to even step in our village?! They are Notch's mistakes, meant to die!"
Then he sighed.
"Look, I know that you can understand them, but they cannot stay in the village."
"Why not?"
"It's..." then he trailed off.
"My wife was killed by them, and I can't take back that thing, even in these circumstances."
After a short silence, he said:
"Dismissed."
"But Scar-"
"Dismissed!"
"I'm sorry."
"I-I t's okay. Now could you leave me alone a bit?"
"Sure."
The mobs weren't too happy either about Scar's decision. I talked to Torak and ge said that he will try to keep the mobs away from us.
We are well organised. Estrella and Becky are in charge with the potions, Mike and Kris are the guards, Emily and Anna are the medics, me, Jack, Sam and Ken are the scouting team, mom and Lola are in charge with the food preparing, Jerome and Adam are the miners, and dad and Nick are in charge with the farming. We even made some new weapons:
1. The throwing metal disc (or simply "disc") - used as a deadly boomerang; it has five holes for the fingers in the middle, and its edge is sharp as a razor.
2. The dual-sword - basically a sword that can split in two thinner and lighter swords; can be crafted with any material.
3. The crossbow - a bow on a plank (planks are made by splitting wooden plank blocks.)
4. Tomahawks - lighter and smaller axes that can be thrown; ca be crafted with any material.
5. Daggers - Smaller and thinner swords, the size of a dagger; can be crafted with any material.
In a few words, everything is fine.
Until now.
"Jason?" said Becky, who just entered the room. I was polishing my diamond sword, with Fire Aspect 2, Sharpness 4, Thorns 1 and Unbreakable 1 enchantments.
"Yeah?"
"Scar called you."
"For what?"
"He said it's important."
"Okay. I'll go now."

"Scar?"
"Ah, yes, Jason? I see you came as I asked you."
"Yes, I did. What's the problem?"
"Well, Jerome and Adam hurt themselves pretty bad when they went mining, and they can't do their jobs. The thing is that I want you and Sam to go in their place today. This change won't be permanently; only until Jerome and Adam get better."
"Okay. Shall I start from now?"
"Yes."
"Okay. Bye!"
"Bye."

"What did he say?" asked Becky when I entered the house.
"He said that he wants me and Sam to go mining today."
"Oh. Okay. And how long does this thing happen?"
"Until Jerome and Adam can do their jobs again. They hurt themselves while mining."
"Oh, God. Poor men."
"Well, I'm ready to go."
She came to me and wiped off some dust from my jacket.
"You look very energic today." she said, while her face approached mine.
"Thank you." I said, smiling, then kissed her gently.
"Be safe."
"I will."

"It was the luckiest day ever! We have now lots of coal, iron, diamond, emerald, gold and Lapis Lazuli! Scar will be very pleased."
"Oooh, indeed. Well, we better get going, 'cause-"
"Oh no."
In front of us was the mighty, shiny Excalibur village.
On fire.
