Was it meant to be? (a Mingus Reedus love story)

Chapter twenty-five

It was the next morning. I woke up and did my usual thing. Went out into the living room looked around and then went an watched T.V. for a little bit. Anthony walked out and came over and sat down next to me. He looked really tired but he smiled at me and said "Well how'd it go last night?" I smiled and said "Wonderful." Then I told him all that happened. After I was finished Mayzie walked out and smiled at both of us then went to the kitchen. She got cereal and then sat down at the kitchen table. She was being really quiet so I got up and sat down next to her. I looked at her and said "Is everything alright?" She nodded but I absolutley knew she was lying. She looked down and said "I'll tell you later." Then she glanced over at Anthony. Anthony had fallen asleep again. I laughed a little bit.

I went and sat back down on the couch. After Mayzie was done with her cereal she rinsed out her bowl. After she was done she started walking to our room she looked at me and gestured for me to come to her. I followed her to our room she closed the door behind us. I turned around and looked at her and Mayzie said "I think I'm in love with Zach." I looked at her and laughed and said "Well, um... He's too old for you." Mayzie looked down and said "I know... That's the worst part." She looked really heartbroken I said "Well maybe like when you're older or something. Like when you're eighteen." She laughed then said "I'm being stupid, I shouldn't be sad about this." I laughed and said "It's alright."

Me and Mayzie sat down at our beds and I told her about the date. When I was done Mayzie started laughing and said "I can't believe you actually went on a date." I laughed and said "Shut up... Yeah I know it's surprising." We laughed then I got up and me and Mayzie walked back out to the living room. Anthony was still asleep and he had drool coming out of his mouth. I starte laughing and Mayzie started laughing when she found out was I was looking at.

We didn't really do much all morning. I was thinking about texting Mingus but I thought I would seem to pushy or something. Anthony didn't wake up until 12:34 and when he did he laughed cause he seen how much he drooled. It was nasty but then really funny at the same time. Me and Mayzie made sandwiches for lunch. We were gonna go shopping at two and it was about 12:56. I was excited because I never went shopping in New York.
