Chapter thirty

Friday

It was Friday, the day of Norman's party. Mayzie was super excited, mostly because Norman Invited most of the Walking Dead cast and Sean Patrick Flanery. I laughed and asked "So what are you wearing tonight?" Mayzie smiled and lifted up this navy blue dress with a white bow going around the waist. I liked the dress but I was just gonna go in some black skinny jeans, a "Queens of the Stone Age" t-shirt, and some black hightop converse. Mayzie laughed at my clothing of choice. I looked at her and said "What, Norman didn't say we had to dress up." Mayzie shrugged her shoulders and said "I'm classy I guess." I laughed and said in a british accent "Hello I'm Mayzie I'm super classy with my million dresses and my obsession of sir benedict cumberbatch." Mayzie laughed and said "You're stupid but that was funny" I smiled and started thinking about Mingus. I didn't know what to do. I was still hurt after seeing him and that girl kissing. He seemed really sorry but I had this sick feeling maybe he was dating other girls. I didn't know Mingus before we started dating. I never met his friends, and it was weird how Norman gave me Mingus's number an me and Norman were complete strangers at the time. I didn't know, it just felt really strange.

After me and Mayzie got dressed, it was about twenty minutes til the party started. Me and Mayzie walked out into the living room to find Anthony sitting on the couch with of course black skinny jeans, a "Queens of the Stone Age" t-shirt, and black vans. Anthony stood up and looked me an up and down then said "This is so weird, but you have converse I have Vans." I started laughing, that never happened to me before. Mayzie said "Why does your whole family like that band?" I shrugged and said "don't know, I guess we just do."

We were about to walk over to Norman's when my phone began to ring. The number was blocked but I answered anyway. I deep voice spoke and said "Is this racheal?" My face went a little pale and said "Yes... Who is this?" The voice spoke and said "I'm detective Simon. I'm calling you to inform you, your mother has been found dead. We found the man that murdered her. He told us that he is your father. Your siblings are here at the station. We're going to need you to come here as soon as possible." I didn't say anything. I just stood there. I dropped my phone but Anthony caught it surprisingly. Anthony started talking to the man on the phone. I heard the man tell Anthony what was going on. Anthony said "This isn't some sick prank call is it? Cause I swear." The man on the other end said "No, we assure you. We need Racheal to come to the police station now. Her father is in jail his courtdate is set for next Wednesday. Racheal and her siblings will be put into a foster ho..." Anthony responded real quick "No No No their my family. I'll take them!" The man didn't say anything but after about ten seconds he said "Ok sir, we're going to need proof and after that you can fill out the papers and their all yours." Anthony didn't smile and he said "Ok, she won't be able to go anywhere until tomorrow, all the planes to Atlanta have been canceled." I was still standing there, there were no tears just shock. I was so in shock I didn't feel like I could cry. Mayzie was holding me. I finally came back and hugged her back. That was when the tears came. It was about fifteen minutes after that call that I had stopped crying. I looked over at Anthony, he sat there with a blank face. I got up and sat next to him. I hugged and him and said "You know you don't have to adopt us that's four kids!" Anthony looked up his eyes were red, he smiled and pulled me into a hug and whispered "I would do anything for you kids, you guys are family and I love all of you. I have more than enough room for you guys. I just can't believe your dad. I swear if I ever and I mean ever see that man again." He huffed and I started to cry again.

I was done crying. I was sitting in me and Mayzies room. Mayzie was sitting next to me. She looked up and said "Are you ok, I mean. I'm sorry that was stupid." I nodded and said "No it's fine, I don't know. I'm still processing it all. I wonder how Ellie and Dylan are taking it." I looked down. Those two must be devastated. Me, Mayzie, and Anthony weren't going to the party.
All of a sudden we heard the door open and Andrew Lincoln, Michael Rooker, Chandler Riggs, Lauren Cohan, Laurie Holden, David Moriessy, Norman, Mingus, and Sean Patrick Flanery were all standing at the door with balloons. I was literally shocked and confused. Norman spoke up and said "Anthony called me and I'm so sorry. This was Mingus's idea." Everybody lowered their heads. I got up and said "Thank you so much you guys." They all gave me a little smile and that's when i hugged them all. We all went out into the living room. Mingus held my hand an we all tried to sit on Anthony's little couch. We all laughed. I sat down then after about five minutes I got up and said "I feel like partying. I need to get this out of my head. I'm sad but moping around isn't gonna help me. The more I think about the more depressed I get. I can't do this. I love everyone of you for bringing me those balloons. I don't want to ruin your night. So let's just go party and I can mourn later. It'll be better." They all stared at me shocked and Michael spoke up and said "This kid is pretty incredible if I was in her position I'd be crying for weeks." I didn't smile I just said "I am extremley sad, my mom was everything to me. She always told me not to be sad about deceased ones, their in a better place and they would want you to be happy. I guess since she's in Heaven now I can be happy because I know she's safe." They all smiled and slowly got up. Lauren said "Are you sure? We could just watch a movie or something." I laughed an said "I'm sure, I wanna dance, clears my head." Mingus smiled and grabbbed my hand we all walked over to Norman's apartment. Norman put on the music and we all started dancing it was really funny because Andrew could not dance neither could Mayzie. They ended up dancing together I was in a circle with Mingus, Norman, and Michael. Lauren, Laurie, Sean, Chandler, and Anthony were all dancing together. Everyone was having a good time. After a while I started having fun and I started to forget about everything. I didn't want to think about it.

After a while everybody started to get tired so we all sat on the ground. All the adults had some drinks except Me, Mayzie, Chandler, and Mingus. I noticed Chandler kept looking towards Mayzie... Oooo does somebody like my best friend. I knew Mayzie liked Chandler beause she kept blushing everytime Chandler got a little closer to her. After a while one by one everybody started to pass out. It was funny because it happened so slowly. I started to feel a little sleepy. Mingus got up and walked to a closet he started passing out pillows and blankets to eveybody and he covered up the one's who were already sleeping. Mingus was so sweet. After he was done he came over and handed me two pillows, I looked up and said "I don't sleep with pillows, they make my head too hot at night." Mingus smiled and threw the extra pillow at Chandler's face. Chandler laughed and said "Jerk." Me and Mayzie laughed and Mingus laid the pillow next to me and then laid down. It was really quiet until I heard Norman started to sing a lullaby. I sat up and stared at Norman, he was laying down next to two people who were laying down. I noticed it was Sean and Andrew. I giggled, Norman looked over at me and winked. I knew Norman was too old for me but he was still very attractive. Norman had a great singing voice. I laid back down and Mingus snuggled up to me and put his arm around me. He got closer and put his head into my head. It was very comfortable and I was warm. I heard someone get up. I looked up to see Michael walking towards us. I watched Michael has he came over and laid next to Mingus. It was a bit weird but Michael laid next to Mingus and started spooning with him. Mingus's eyes flew open and he yelled "What the hell?!" Norman said "Boy watch your mouth!!" Me and Michael laughed. Michael then said "I wanted some lovin too sugarplum." He said that to Mingus and Mingus faked puke.

After that Me and Mingus fell alseep. I was having a dream. I was having a nightmare. My dad was there and he was covered with blood. There were four bodies on the floor. I couldn't recognize the bodies at first until I realized it was Mingus, Norman, Anthony, and my Mother. I jolted awake and I started crying. I must have woke up some people cause everybody started to crowd next to me. I laid back down until I felt and arm lock into my arm I looked over to see Sean he said "It's alright hun, i'm right here." He pulled me into his chest. I cried a little bit, I didn't want to fall back asleep again. I was too scared. I hadn't even talked to Sean while he was here but he was holding me. I fell asleep again after what felt like an hour. I didn't dream of anything after that.
