Was it meant to be? (a Mingus Reedus love story)

Chapter thirty six

Me and my siblings were still living with our cousin Anthony. We all loved it here. I on the other hand didn't like the fact that we were living next door to Norman and Mingus Reedus. I would occasionaly see Mingus in the lobby. I never tried to make eye contact. I could feel his eyes watchin me though. Norman would come over often. Him and Anthony were really good friends. If i was in the room Norman would start talking a little about Mingus. I simply got up and went back to my room. I didn't care, I got over Mingus though. It took a while. I probably went thru two tubs of ice cream that week. It was sad Mayzie made fun of me a bit. After a while I started forgetting and I started to enjoy life again. Mayzie left 3 days after me and Mingus broke up. Her dad was coming home from filming. She told me she would come back and visit when he left. Anyway I heard the normal knock on the door followed by Norman walking in but he wasn't alone. I seen the blonde hair and i immediatley got up and started heading toward my room. Before I took 5 steps I heard his voice. He said "Stop, Racheal please!" I turned and looked up. Mingus walked up and said "I know you probably really don't want to talk me but please." I didn't know what to say. He stared at me and said "Can we go to your room to talk." I hesitated before I started heading to my room. Mingus followed. When we closed the door he stared at me and that's when he said it "Racheal, I miss you so much. I'm a wreck. These past months I felt like dying. You were always on my mind. I messed up so bad. I'm so so.." He choked up and that's when I seen a tear. I sat there for a second before I looked up and said "I've missed you so much too but.." "I'm not with those girls, never was, they would just flirt with me and I would flirt back." I didn't know what to say. I looked up again to see Mingus staring at me, he gave me a slight smile and he grabbed my hand. I looked down again and i heard him say "I'm so sorry. I really mean it, if i have to do something crazy to prove it i will. I'm not asking you to be my girlfriend again i'm just asking you to please forgive me." I looked up and said "I do." Mingus smiled and pulled me into a hug. We hugged for a bit before I pulled away and looked him in the eyes and before i knew it i had grabbed his face and we were kissing. I had my eyes closed i opened them to see mingus with his eyes closed too. I pulled away and he smiled. We sat there for a bit before Mingus said "So are we together again?" I didn't know how to respond. After a little bit i looked up and nodded. Mingus grinned really big and said "yes!do you want to go to the zoo?" I nodded and we got up. Whoa we just got back together and he asked me if I wanted to go to the zoo. I laughed and Mingus looked at me. He said "What's so funny?" I looked down and said "Nothing, i just love zoo's" Mingus smiled and we walked out to tell Norman and Anthony.
