Chapter forty three

I couldn't really remember much of what happened before i passed out. I had this crazy dream that i got a call from my mom though, telling me she was alive and that my dad just set up this plan for some strange reason. Mingus didn't tell me what happend he just told me he would tell me later. I hope nothing back happened. We were back in the apartment. We were all sitting on the couch in silence. I looked over to see Norman playing on his iphone and Mingus looking down at his hands. I grabbed one of Mingus's hand and smiled at him. He smiled back and then said "I'm so glad you're okay." I smiled and said "Yeah, so what happened why did i faint?" Mingus looked down again and then Norman looked over at me and said "Well you were talking on the phone. You were talking to som.." I felt my face get cold and i whimpered "she's alive? It was real?" I started crying and Mingus pulled me into his arms. Norman came to the other side and hugged me too. I cried for about ten minutes before i said "Did you get the number?" Norman nodded and pulled out a piece of paper from his back pocket. He said "The la.. Uh your mom told me to call this number when you woke up." I nodded and grabbed the piece of paper. I sat there for a little bit before telling them i was going to go call. Mingus asked "Can i come?" I nodded and we walked to my room. I sat down on my bed and grabbed my phone. I started to dial the number before i stopped an looked up at Mingus. He looked at me and i said "What if this is just some nasty prank this person is trying to pull." Mingus didn't say anything so i just pushed the button and i heard the ring come on. After the second ring a woman came on the phone

?- hello?

R-Yeah this is racheal.

?-Oh, oh my gosh hold on

R-uh alright

M-Honey?

R-M..mom?

M-yes, are you alright?!

R-mom i'm fine. What the hel...

M-I know. I want to see you guys. I know this is way too sudden. I need to explain all of this in person. Where are your brothers and sisters?

R-their living next door with Anthony.

M-Who are yous staying with then?

R-Uh Norman Reedus and his son.

M-Nor.. NORMAN REEDUS?!!

I laughed and looked up to see a wide eyed Mingus. He mouthed "What?" And he started to laugh a little bit

R-Yeah, i met them about 2 years ago back in Georgia.

M-oh well 'nuff bout that. Are you still in New York?

R-Yes where are you?

M-California

R-Alright.... Mom this is really too freaking weird. You're supposed to be dead.

M-i know...... When i explain you'll understand everything. I'm so sorry. I know this caused a lot of pain. I'll come up in about 2 weeks and we'll make plans. Don't tell your brothers and sister until i tell you.

R-ok i guess goodbye

M-goodbye honey love you so much

R-love you too

I hung up the phone and looked at Mingus. He was smiling. I said "What?" He laughed and said "Sounds liked your mom is surprised bout you an my dad" "dude that sounded weird." Mingus laughed and said "didn't mean it like that weirdo." With that he pulled me into his arms and he kissed my cheek. I laughed then grabbed his face and kissed him on the lips. I pulled away and said "Yay" and Mingus smiled and said "What?" I said "that was our 30th kiss." He giggled and said "you've been keeping track?" I laughed and said "No i should have though." We laughed and walked into the living room. Anthony was sitting on the couch with Norman and Norman was explaining what happened. Anthony looked a bit pale and I heard what Norman said "Her moms alive." Anthony looked up and said "I don't want you guys to leave though." I nodded and said "I know, i don't even know what's gonna happen when we all go see her. I'm scared that something is going on and that's why she had to fake her death. This is so confusing. " Anthony nodded then stood up and hugged me. This is where i belonged. I couldn't see my self living somewhere else without these people. I didn't even know what to think about my mom. You can't just do that to your kids. Fake death then come back and be like oh i'm back lets back together an be a norman family. My mom was dead for 3 years.
