Chapter forty six

*Norman*

I held the gun up while Anthony went to hug Racheal. He whispered something to her and she ran to my bedroom. They were all in there hiding. Mingus was in racheals room. I looked over at Anthony who looked like he was going to pass out. There was another bang and all of a sudden some chairs fell over. This guy was pretty strong. I started to panic when the couch and table started moving. Why wasn't anyone helping us. Surely the neighbors would hear this noise? What about the police who were supposed to be coming. I started to panic and i ran behind the kitchen island to wait. Anthony ran behind the island too and we crouched. After about a minute the man finally got the door open and i could barely breath. Anthony looked over the counter then back at me. The man started growling and then he yelled "You're in here, i'll find you. This place isn't that big. You can hide for as long as you want but i will find you." He then started throwing things around the living room and Anthony looked at me and whispered. "I could shoot him right now." I shook my head and said "What if there's others?" Anthony looked down and i seen a tear drop. I felt bad for the dude but i wasn't gonna let himself get killed. "Antho..." Anthony jumped up and ran to the livng room. Two shots were fired and I looked around the island. I looked horrified as i seen Anthony's body drop to floor while the man stood there smiling and he yelled "I shot one of your men!" Now i was really pissed. I heard footsteps then i heard a bang on top of the kitchen island. The man slammed his fists on it. I started to panic again i was on the other side. If i stayed where i was he might just walk away. I looked over to see a knife about a foot away from me. The man must have threwn it when he was throwing things around in the living room. The man sighed and said "Wasn't supposed to kill him. Only here for the kids and the woman." My eyes widened and that's when i knew it was over for me. The man had a gun against my head. I didn't move and i started to tear up. The man yelled "Get the hell up." I stood up and he turned me around. The man laughed and said "Holy shit, you're that one guy from the walking dead." I didn't smile i didn't do anything except think 'Was this guy being fuckin serious?' The guy put the gun down and looked down and said "I don't wanna kill ya, just give me the kids and woman and i'll leave. I'm sorry bout the other guy." I didn't hesitate i shot the guy right in the chest. He fell back and looked at me and i heard a shot fire and my leg started to sting. I looked down, the guy shot me in the leg. I fell down and then grabbed my knife because the man started to stumble and get up. I launched myself onto the man and stabbed him in the chest. He fell and that's when i knew he was dead. I leaned back and started to stand up. 3 police officers ran in and looked at me. I still had the gun in my hand and they yelled "PUT THE WEAPON DOWN NOW!! PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR HEAD." I did as they said and they went over to the two bodies. Mingus ran out and one of the police officers yelled stay back but Mingus said "That's my dad! That guy *points at the mans body on ground* came in trying to kill us." The police officer came over and asked "What's your name?" I said "Norman Reedus" the police officer then "Well Norman is this true?" "YES IT'S TRUE! He fired a shot at me, my kid, and a friend about 20 minutes ago, he broke in, killed that boy, i shot him in the chest and he shot me in the leg then i stabbed him. I killed him in self defense. There's other people in the room down the hall on the left." The officer nodded and started talking into his walkie talkie. the officer that was standing next to Anthony's body got up and walked to my room. They all walked out and jumped when they seen Anthony on the ground. Racheal was the first one to cry and she ran over to Anthony. She stopped crying when she felt for a pulse. He couldn't be?
