Chapter thirty eight

*2 weeks later*
I ended up moving in with Norman and Mingus. It wasn't such a big deal since Anthony and my siblings were living next door. Mingus came up with the idea and I didn't complain. I had my own room because Norman said we were still too young to be sleeping in the same room which I understood. Me and Mingus turned Fifteen a couple weeks ago. My birthday was September 10th and his was October 13th. We were still broken up at that time. We didn't do anything for my birthday. David told me happy birthday but honestly I think he was the only one to remember. I didn't mind, I wished for Mingus and Me to be back together but I was still mad at him for cheating on me. He always told me to read his messages for him. I guess he was trying to show that he wasn't cheating. Anyways I loved living with the Reedus's. They were a lot of fun. Norman had a new girlfriend named Ceicilia. I didn't like her when I first met her but she's actually really cool once you get to know her. I was happy for Norman and her. I didn't ask Mingus about it though. Anyways, today me and Mingus were going to meet one his friends. I finally get to meet his friends. We were all going to go play paintball. Me and David would go in the summer with our uncle Jack. I got hit in the chest up close, i had the armor but it still stung a little bit.

Me and Mingus were heading toward the warehouse where the match was gonna be. Mingus looked really excited he was wearing some of the armor already. I kept smiling at him. He said "I have some armor in my locker where we're going, you're putting it on. You can get hurt but I'm going to protect you so you shouldn't worry." Mingus winked at me and I felt myself blush. Mingus grabbed my hand and we got out of the car. Norman called from behind us "Ming call me when you guys want picked up." Mingus waved and Norman pulled away. This warehouse place was pretty big. There were two guys standing at the doors. They both looked like they were dads. We walked up and Mingus high fived one and we walked inside. I laughed all the walls were splattered with paint, there was an outline of a person on the floor. Mingus laughed and said "That was my dad." I laughed and we walked up to this short boy with brown hair. He looked like he about 10. Mingus greeted the kid and said "Ben this is my girfriend Racheal." I smiled and Ben said "Hey girl!" I laughed and Ben pulled us into a locker room. Mingus led me to lockers and we stopped at one and he opened it, he began putting some armor on me. Ben handed me a paintball gun and that's when we heard a bell. Everyone ran a little bit. Mingus grabbed my hand and said "It's starting!" I laughed and ran with Mingus. There was a blue team and Red team. We were blue an the red team had a whole bunch of teenage boys. I saw a girl but she was just a referee. We stood in a line and the girl shouted "You all have 1 minute to get to your area. Not in your area after that minute prepared to be shot. You all know the rules, no hitting, kicking and especially no shooting at the head. 1..2..3!" We all ran Mingus led me to this tower and we climbed in. I followed we sat down and he looked at me and said "After the minute we stay here and whoever isn't hidden gets shot and out of the game. After that we all run out and shoot at eachother. Didn't make the rules but you'd be surprised how many people can't find a hiding spot." I smiled i was having fun already. I heard the girl shout and i heard a couple paintball guns go off. I looked out and there was about 6 kids that were covered in paint. I laughed and sat back down. I heard the girl yell and that's when it got really crazy. Me and Mingus ran out and mingus shot 3 kids in less than 10 seconds. I stood amazed and then i started shooting. I shot about 2 kids before i felt something hit my arm i looked down to see green paint. I yelled Dangit and i looked up to see Mingus pointing the gun at me. I laughed because Mingus was covered in paint. He grabbed my hand and said "they ambushed me, the people that got me always get shot by me. Guess they wanted revenge. I laughed and we started taking some of our armor off. I said "so this it?" Mingus nodded "Yeah, we're coming back tomorrow and this time we're bringing my dad." I laughed. Norman came and picked us up and Mingus told him what happened . Norman laughed and said to me "It gets easier, i'm surprised you got 2 people though. Good job." I smiled and then Mingus asked about Norman coming with us tomorrow. Norman agreed and Mingus did a little victory dance in his seat.
