Smuffy!

Sodapop's POV

I walked into the house, I saw Baby slide down the door and fall back onto my feet. I couldn't help but laugh. The other's all looked like she was some broad I met. She is, a cute one too, but all I know is her name is Baby.

Darry seemed pleased to meet her but the others not so much, apparently from what Darry told me, she accidently went into the wrong house. She's new and all to town, so I don't blame her. I wonder though if that guy that was with her related to her or her boyfriend.

I shouldn't be thinking of that I have Sandy. She's wonderful and all, but she's not around as much as she used to be. All I can remember right now is baby falling onto my feet.

"Soda?" I heard Pony say, I looked over at him. He was leaning up beside me, it's almost eleven and I work tomorrow. 

"Yea Pony?" I answered, he smiled some what.

"Who was she?" He asked, who could he possibly be thinking of...

"Who?"

"Don't play dumb with me Soda, the girl who came in earlier." Oh Baby.

"Oh that girl, that was Baby. She's real nice." I heard Pony laugh a bit. He laid back down. I ignored him and fell asleep thinking about things that happened today

The next morning I got woken up by Pony, he ran into the room. He wasn't like Two or Steve who shake you violently to wake up. He shook me till I woke up, I looked up and rubbed my eyes. Thank god it's Friday, then I have the weekend to myself.

Pony left, I took a quick shower, then got dressed for work. Darry was cooking breakfast, I sat down and ate quickly so I could leave at the same as Darry. Steve walked in just in time, Darry grabbed his boots with the truck keys. We followed out the to work.

Audrey's POV

I look at my clock when I woke up, I saw that it was almost ten in the morning. I must of been tired, then I realized I fell asleep in my chair with Smuffy. That reminds me where is he? I got out of bed put some shoes on and ran around the house.

"Smuffy!" I started yelling through out the house. I saw that Logan was gone, but Tegan I'm not too sure. I walked down the hall and opened the door to his room, I saw Smuffy laying right beside him.

I ran over to Tegan, I jumped on his bed. Smuffy woke up, I left the room as he followed me. I opened the back door. I sat on the back steps and watched Smuffy run around the yard. I threw a football back and forth and he catch it and bring it back to me.

I looked behind me as the back door opened, I saw Tegan, he was wearing sweats and a hoodie. He looked like he just woke up, he sat down beside me.

"Good morning!" I said full of joy, he laughed a little. He smiled back to me, he wrapped an arm around my shoulders and side hugged me. I turned to face him and hugged him too. I was also wearing a hoodie and sweats so we kind of matched.

Smuffy ran up to us then jumped in Tegan lap, I laughed because he jumped right where the sun don't shine. He laughed as well after a while, we got up and went inside. Smuffy ran around like a monkey, he seemed so hyper.

"Take him for a walk why don't ya?" Tegan said, I looked at him.

"Why me?" He crossed his arms, then looked at the dog.

"Okay, okay, my dog. Smuffy!" I yelled, he came dashing towards me with his tongue hanging out of his mouth. He was so adorable, I was standing at the front door, when it opened. Logan came back. I looked away for a minute and Smuffy ran out the door.

"NO!Smuffy get back here!" I yelled.

"Go get him! Before he gets hit by a car or something!" Tegan yelled, I rushed out the door, the way I was. Old shoes, with black sweats and a black hoodie. My hair was down but wasn't brushed so I look terrible. But who cares I don't know anyone here anyway.

I ran down the road to a park. I saw Smuffy's tail. I ran down but looked behind me because I thought someone called my name. I fell to the ground when I ran into something hard, I look over beside me and see Sodapop on the ground beside me and a younger boy standing up beside him.

I notice he's holding Smuffy. I get up and brush all the dust off me. Sodapop gets up and does the same.

"Thank goodness your holding him!" I said, the younger boy smiled and put Smuffy down.

"He yours?" The younger boy said, I nodded.

"Yea he is, he accidently ran out the door when my brother walked into the house. I'm so sorry about running into you Sodapop." I felt kind of bad because that like the second time I've done something stupid or fell, and it was with Sodapop around me.

"It's all good, no worries! Also you can call me Soda." He told me, the younger boy crouched down to the ground and started to pet Smuffy.

"What's his name?" He asked.

"Smuffy!" I said, he started calling his name. "What's yours?" I asked him. He smiled and looked up at me.

"Ponyboy, Ponyboy Curtis. You can call me Pony though." He said.

"Cute name." I told him, he showed a small smile with a blush. I kinda giggled.  I picked up Smuffy, and turned around.

"Yours?" Pony said. I stopped in my tracks and turned around to face them.

"Audrey, call me AJ or Baby if you'd like." I said and continued walking down the street to my house. I looked back and noticed that they were both dumb founded. I laughed and walked into my house.

"What took so long? He couldn't of ran that far." Logan asked, I put Smuffy down and he raced over to his food dish.

"I was talking to some people I met." I told them, Tegan and Logan nodded. We all sat down in the living room and watched some drag races, Tegan and I forced Logan to watch with us. I sat with Smuffy beside me in my chair.

We always bet between each other to see with car will win. I usually end up winning against Tegan and Logan thinks it's stupid but we ignore his judgement.
