Ponyboy's POV

I watched as Audrey was running her laps, she seemed so free and out there. Like nothing I've seen before. She looks like she's having the time of her life out on the track. I kept staring at her, every time she moved one leg in front of the other.

I just kept watching her do her laps, after she finished and gave us a high five to switch off, Johnny started his. She was pacing back and forth waiting to run again.

"Audrey, are you gonna join the track club?" I asked her, she turned around and looked at me.

"Yeah, I hope I'm able to make a spot on the track team!" She said, I knew it. She must be some track star or something, the way she moves and runs out there made me think she might be training.

"Are you gonna be on the track team?" She asked me, I looked over at her.

"Yea course I will, I have been one of the track stars since I've been to high school."  I told her, she laughed and gave me a pat on the back.  We watched Johnny finish his last lap, I stood with Audrey.

I remembered when Soda was telling me he likes her, I guess I can see why. She's an amazing track athlete, anyone would love to date those kind of girls. I laughed, she looked at me and saw me laughing.

"What's so funny?" She asked me, I need a lie to she doesn't know that Soda likes her.

"Nothing just thinking...." I told her, she must of bought it since she nodded and turned around. Johnny came back and it was my turn to run my laps.

~~~After School~~~

Audrey's POV

I finally finished my first day of school, I realized I had to rush home, I work tonight. Well actually I work everyday after school from 4 till eleven roughly.  I ran to my room and got changed, I put on a pair if light blue skinny jeans, with a yellow t-shirt and my leather jacket.

I walked down to the Nightly Double, I walked in. We have a drive-in and a movie house. I work the movie house, and on Friday's the drive-in. I walked in and started working, I started at the food booth.

But otherwise, I work at the ticket booth.  I got switched over to the ticket booth over an hour ago. It's around  six thirty now. Lot's of people come back and forth though the front doors. Some people I met and other's I don't mind. I'm happy school is almost over.

I know I just started but I got here late, during Easter break is when I moved here so everyone had a week off of school. For me it just started, but I'll be here for awhile so I'll just have to do school next year.

"Excuse me, can I have a ticket please?" A guy asked me, I must of been in my own world, so I didn't hear him till now.

"Yea, I'm so sorry." He gave me the money, but before he left he spoke to me.

"No problem, I'm Randy, what's your name?" He asked me.

"Audrey" I told him, he nodded. He waved bye to me and walked into the movies. I continued thinking, what if I dropped out of school till next year. I'd have to talk to Logan.

I continued my shift till it was finally over. I looked at the clock, it read 10:58 pm. I kept staring at it, after the two minutes were up. I walked home.

I walked into the house, I saw Tegan siting on the couch and Logan sleeping in his chair. I tapped Logan, he is older and more responsable so I'll ask him about dropping out.

"Logan?" I whispered in his ear, he woke up and looked at me.

"Hey Baby, how was your shift?" He asked me.

"Good, can I talk to you?" I asked him, he look confused but nodded. He followed me into the kitchen.

"I was wondering or more like proposing, could I drop out of school till next year and start then?" I asked him, he didn't seem mad or upset, just confused. I continued.

"Just because it's hard with my job I got, and also moving here. Plus there's only two months left anyway, it would be easier for me just to start next year with everyone else." I explained, Tegan walked over to us.

"I wouldn't mind if she did, she has a point." He said, I'm still mad at him for the other day, but I guess I was just jealous and should let him be.

"Thanks Tegan!" I said, he winked at me, then walked down to his room. Logan stood there and looked at me.

"I guess, but you gotta remember your not allowed to do stuff your not allowed." He told me, I was confused but nodded.

"Have I ever done anything I wasn't suppose to?" I asked him.

"Your right you haven't but you've made new friends and they might influence you in some ways and I don't want them to be negative. But what ever you do, is your choice." Logan explained. I was happy, I gave him a hug.

He walked down to his room and went to sleep, I went to the bathroom and had shower from the smell down at the movie house. I finished changing into my pjays, I watched some tv on the couch with some coke. I eventually fall asleep on the couch.
