Promises?

Audrey's POV

I was lying on the couch, I heard people walking around. I opened my eyes slightly, I saw Logan and Tegan getting ready for work, they both were staying quiet as they could so they didn't wake me.

They waved bye to me when they say I was awake. I waved bye to them, they left and closed the door. I fell asleep with Smuffy on the floor beside me, he's gotten so big in the past two weeks.

I rubbed my hand on his back, then I let him outside and closed the door.I went back to the couch, I propped my pillow and fixed my blanket.

I heard someone calling my name, I looked up I saw Soda standing in front of me. Sad thing is I'm wearing just a shirt and my underwear. I got too lazy to get some pjays last night so I fell asleep like that.

"Soda?" I called, he stood there.

"Hey AJ, I found your dog again, he was out by the drive in." He told me, I gasped a little. He was holding him. I sat up, I dropped the blanket on the floor and walked over to him.

"Nice shorts!" Soda said smirking, I looked down and realized I didn't have the blanket on anymore.

"Soda!" I snapped, he turned around, I pulled the blanket on me and ran down the hall. I put some sweats on and ran back to the living room.

"Sorry was I staring?" He asked, I stood arms crossed and smirked.

"You were, I assume you like what you saw?" I asked, he shrugged.

"Maybe.." I laughed, and pushed him. I walked back the other way, he pushed me while I was walking and I pulled him down with me.  We landed on the couch together, I laughed.

"Hey?" Soda said, I giggled.

"Hey.." He laughed, I rubbed my fingers through his hair. I heard the door open and look to the door.

"Woah, what's going on?" Steve said, great why is here? Then I saw Tegan by his side with his jaw dropped.

"Baby?" He said, Soda got off me and I sat up.

"Yea?" I asked him, he walked over to me with his arms crossed.

"What are you doing with my best buddy!?" Steve pointed out all mad like. I stood in front of him.

"Why would you care??? You have a new best buddy remember, and it doesn't matter, it's Soda's and mine business. So stay out of it grease ball." I spat to him, he looked Tegan then ran after me.

Soda stood in front of me, Steve looked pissed.

"Baby? Can we talk..." Tegan asked, I nodded and followed him to my room.We sat down on the edge of my bed and he spoke.

"You weren't doing anything you weren't suppose to?" He asked me, I looked at him.

"What??? Of cours not, he pushed me and I pulled him down with me. You know it's one of my reflexes!" I told him, he looked at me.

"I trust you Baby, don't go doing stuff, okay? Promise me.." He asked, I hugged him.

"Promise, I swear I did nothing. Why did you bring him here anyway?" I asked him, he looked at me.

"We were gonna have our lunch break here, but if you want we can leave?" He asked.

"No it's fine, just teach him some manners at least?" He looked at me and nodded, I walked out with him, he made some mac and cheese for lunch. We all sat down and ate, I was too hungry so I fed the rest to Smuffy.

"We have to go, bye Baby!" Tegan said, I waved bye to them and cleaned the rest of the house till I have to leave. I took a shower once again for work. I saw a note siting on the couch when I cleaned the blankets off it.

~ Hey AJ,  I'll stop by the Nightly Double when I'm done my shift. I wanted to talk to you earlier but Steve and your brother showed up. I'll see you then. -Sodapop~ That's what the note read.

I smirked, I put the note in my dresser and hopped in the shower. I got ready for work, by the time I finished getting dressed and doing my hair, it was around 3:30.  I walked out of the house.

I walked down the road, I got to the Nightly Double I started my shift, right now my manager decided to put me outside at the concession stands for the Drive-In.

It's been around six hours that I've been serving popcorn and cokes. I saw Randy walk over, he smiled as I smiled back.  Him and I have been closer as friends, I'd say I'm definitely closer to him then any of Soda's friends besides his brothers.

"Hey Audrey!"  I smiled, he ordered and I ran around grabbing his popcorn and coke. I walked back.

"Here you go!" I said and handed him his things. He smiled.

"Thanks, how've you been?" He asked me, I shrugged my shoulders and leaned on the counter.

"I've been good I guess, how 'bout you?" He looked around, then back at me.

"Good as well." He said, I had a break so I sat at a table with Randy and talked. He eventuallt had to go, so left back to work and continued working my last hour. I realized Soda never showed up like he said he would.

I was kind of upset that he didn't show up, he took the time to write me a note, yet he bails on me. I thought he was my best friend. I guess not. I finished my shift and walked home on my lonesome.

I walked into the house, Tegan and Logan were asleep in their room already. I picked Smuffy  up and brought him to my room, I put some pjays on. It's Saturday tomorrow so only Logan works. I laid in my bed, I closed my eyes. I fell asleep to the sound of  Smuffy's breathing.
