Steve and the Hospital

Audrey's POV

As I shivered, I grabbed onto the closest thing to me, the fountain. I was shivering so bad, I could barely stand, I was weak, I couldn't lift my self up. I looked around, the sun was just rising in the distance. I placed my hand on the ledge of the fountain, put slipped and bashed the side of my face off of it.

I stayed laying on the ground, I saw someone walk close to me. Someone I wasn't too happy to see but was glad he showed up. I called his name to get his attention. He ran over to me, I looked up at him, I had some try blood al over my clothes and some on my face.

"What happened you look terrible." Steve spoke, I looked at him as I was laying on the ground in a ball, I was still shivering.

"I-I got beat by some Socs last night, they tried drowning me." He came to my side and helped me to my feet, I wrapped my arms around his neck as he lifted me in his  arms bridal style. I was still shivering in his arms.

"Don't worry AJ, I'll bring you to the hospital." Steve spoke, I nodded. I rested my head in chest so I could stay some what warm. I was out cold all night. I probably have hypothermia, Steve walked at a decent pace so we could get there some time today.

He walked in with me still in his arms, a few nurses came up to me and took me away. I showed Steve a small smile, and waved as they brought me to the other side of the hospital.

I laid limp on the bed as nurses ran around my bed, they placed lots of blankets on top of me. I heard loud sounds coming through the hospital. A nurse came to my side and cleaned off all the dry blood as she also patched up some of my cuts. She placed some ice on certain areas of my skin that were inflamed.

"What exactly happened dear?" She asked me, I turned my head slowly towards her direction.

"I was beat last night, then got basically drowned in a fountain. I was out cold the rest of the night till my friend found me." I spoke, she smiled at the thought of those words, but kept doing her job.

"Don't worry, you'll be fine, and that boy seemed worried for you." I was confused, Steve was worried, I mean I did throw oil cans at him, and called him names, it's been a basic war between us.

"Oh thanks for the update." I replied, she nodded.  I laid in the bed as I warmed myself up, someone walked in the room, I looked over at them, I was still in pain but managed to smile.

"Thanks Steve, I really mean it..." He nodded and bowed.

"My pleasure, Soda would of wanted me to do a thing like that."

"Oh so it wasn't because I was half dead beside the fountain, it was because of Soda, you thought that if you did that, you'd be more loyal and Soda would appreciate it, right?" I spoke, he shrugged his shoulders.

"Well I guess, but it wasn't just for Soda I did it, I did it for you."

"So you did to make your self seem like a better person."

"No just drop it, you thanked me that's enough." He shouted, I rolled my eyes he's not telling me something.

"What's wrong with you? Are you jealous...?" I asked

"Why would I be jealous? I'm fine, I can't help out a friend." He spoke to me

"Whatever, I think your jealous or something, but thanks for considering me your friend."

"Yea whatever." He laughed " It was nothing."

"Oh golly, Baby are you okay?" Soda spoke as he ran in towards me. He hugged me and kept me in his arms.

"Yea I'm fine, thank Steve he helped me." Soda turned to Steve and thanked him, He sat with Steve on the chairs.

"Logan is coming over when he's able to get off work, and Tegan is on his way." I was still kind of shivering, Soda noticed and wrapped me another blanket witch made us all laugh.

"Thanks" I spoke, they smiled, Tegan came into the room with so many questions.

"Calm down, I'm fine."

"Obviously your not if you got brought into the hospital!" Tegan said, "What happened, get in a fight or something?"

"Sort of, I got beat up on the way home, then they tried drowning me." I said, he gasped.

"Were so sorry AJ, next time wait there or call someone."

"Its fine really, I'm better now. There gonna keep me here for a day till my hypothermia goes down." I spoke, Tegan went from worried to understandable. I gave him a hug with what was left of my strength.

"Relax and rest, we'll be right back." Tegan spoke for him and Steve, as they left Soda walked over to me, he kissed me softly, I smiled through it. Tegan and Steve came back to the room with a nurse. She told them to leave and come back in an hour.

She changed my iv fluid, she removed the ice that is no longer ice but liquid. She moved my hair out of my face.

"Your lucky dear, if you were out there any longer the hypothermia would of got to you even worst then what it did. I'll allow a visitor or two to come visit but you need rest." She spoke to me, I understood what she said, she left as Soda walked in.

"Hey baby, how you doing?" He spoke, I shrugged my shoulders.

"Better then this morning, about last night-"

"Don't worry about last night." He spoke, I shook my head.

"No Soda, I mean are you okay from last night, did you still wanna talk?" I asked him, he sighed but nodded. I moved over once I got some strength back in my arms. He sat with me, his warm body was making my body temperature go up, witch helped me slowly get rid of the hypothermia.

"Warming up?" He asked me, I snuggled closer to him and rested my head on his chest, then nodded. He smiled witch made me smile.

"Yea..." I said, Soda was telling me about his parents, and some memories, how his parents were like. I wanted to listen t his voice more, but slowly fell asleep.
