In The Rain

Soda's POV

I woke up early this morning, I looked beside me at Pony. He had the covers up to his noise and was snoring, I laughed a little. I got out of bed, I put my jeans on and left my shirt off. I saw Darry making some food in the kitchen, I grabbed a plate and sat with him at the table.  ]

Johnny was asleep on the couch, I went back to eating my food. I was thinking, thinking about last night. I felt a bit bad that I left her hanging at the Drive-in, but I couldn't see her, Randy was there.

I might be just jealous, but I do think that she's going out with him or something. I couldn't approach her after I saw him there. She may be mad at me, but so am I.

"Soda?" I saw a wave of a hand in front of me. I looked up from my plate, I saw Pony, Johnny and Darry staring at me. I sat back in my chair.

"Yea??" I asked, they looked at me. Pony seemed like he was trying to figure something out.

"You okay Soda?" Pony asked me, I shrugged my shoulders.

"Yea I'm fine I guess." I kind of lied, I saw Steve walk in with Two-bit. Steve walked to me and patted my back. I looked up at him.

"Hey buddy? What going on?" Steve was drinking some of my orange juice.

"We don't know, Soda seems off." Johnny spoke, he looked in my eyes as I stared at him.

"Yep something's up, what's wrong bud?" Steve asked.

"I bailed on AJ last night." Two-bit started cracking up jokes and making fun of me.

"That's not like you, Soda. What happened?" Pony asked, I ate some eggs then spoke.

"I told her I'd meet  her tomorrow at the Drive-in, but when I got there Randy was there with her."

"So, what's the matter, it's not like you like her or something." Steve spat, then took a minute to think and gasped, "Wait, you like her???"  Pony shook his head.

"Yea, I was upset and angry that she was with  Randy last night before I got there."

"Someone's jealous!" Two said. I rolled my eyes.

"No I'm not... maybe... I don't know?" I left my chair, I opened the front door and left, I walked down to the DX, when I'm in a mood, I like working with Cars, or watching Drag races.

Audrey's POV

I woke up at around eleven, I was so tired last night.  I saw Tegan sitting in the living room when I walked down the hall. I grabbed some food off the counter in the kitchen, I sat in my chair and watched some tv with Tegan.

I was thinking for awhile last night I remembered and I am now. I felt a few tears stream down my face just thinking about him and what he did last night. I realized maybe I had feelings for him, I guess I got really upset yesterday when he never showed up and realized it just now.

I saw Tegan get up and sit beside me, he put an arm around me, as I leaned against him for comfort, I wiped my tears.

"What's wrong baby??" He asked me, I shrugged my shoulders.

"I realized I had feelings for someone, but they blew me off yesterday..." I spoke, he shook his head and looked down at me. I was still crying a little.

"Why don't you go take a walk?" Tegan asked, I nodded and got up from my chair. Maybe a walk will let all this energy out. Make me feel free a but if I walk alone for awhile. "Take Smuffy while your at it." I nodded.

I put Smuffy on a leash and grabbed my jacket, looked like it might rain. I walked outside and closed the door behind me. I walked with him down the road, I looked up at the sky, it was grey and black with big storm clouds.

Smuffy seemed like he didn't  mind, he was barking at something, I ignored it and kept walking, I was looking up at the sky as I felt some rain drops hit me on the head.

"Smuffy  no barking!" I yelled at him, I crouched down to his level. He kept pulling me to the left, I looked over and saw Soda siting on a park bench, I didn't want to see or talk to him. I turned in the other direction and kept walking, but Smuffy continued to Bark.

I heard Soda calling my name. "AJ wait, I need to talk to you!" I ignored him and kept walking down the road. I felt him grab my arm and spin me to face him. I looked around Soda, as Smuffy was jumping all over him.

"AJ, look at me please at least!" He pleaded, I gave in and looked at him. I crossed my arms.

"What do you want Soda, gonna bail on me again?" I asked, he sighed but spoke.

"No, I didn't mean to I swear. I saw you with Randy last night and-"

"You thought I was going out with him or something?" I shouted, he shrugged his shoulders, I was getting mad. "Didn't you!" I yelled and pushed him, it started to rain, not like light rain but hard rain that you couldn't see someone in front of you.

"You probably assumed that didn't you Sodapop!!" I was now tearing up and yelling at him, he stood there dumbfounded. I pushed him once again because of what he said and thought. I ran the other way, my hair was getting in my face, the rain was coming down hard.

"AJ wait, I Love You!" He yelled, I stopped in my tracks and looked at him, he was standing there all soaking wet in front of me, I stood there and spoke.

"I-I love you too!" I yelled, I ran down to him and jumped in his arms, he caught me as we spun around in circles. I looked at him, I moved his hair out of his face as he did the same to me. He smiled, I smiled.

"Do you really love me?" I asked him

"I wouldn't of said it if I didn't meant it!" He said. Looked like he kept trying to kiss me and wait to do that but I spoke again.

"Soda..." I spoke.

"Baby, shut up and kiss me why don't you!" I laughed and kissed him as he kissed me back. I stayed in his arm in the rain as Smuffy was running in between his legs. We walked back to my house, he still had me in his arms, as we simply started at each other and kissed here and there.

A/N
