Drowned???

Audrey's POV

When I woke up, I looked to my right then my left. I saw Soda laying beside me, I smiled. I shook him awake gently, he looked around at his surroundings. I climbed down the roof, Soda followed. It seemed like it was eight or nine, but it was actually eleven, in the morning. Soda's lucky he doesn't work today, I do.

"Hey AJ,Soda!" Logan spoke as he was chomping down his cereal, I actually didn't know where he works till Tegan told me yesterday, he works at some roofing company, like Darry.

"Hey Logan!" I said, I smiled and spilt his cereal, we laughed, Tegan was gone for the day, probably with Steve. I don't admire him very much, some people want me to get along with him, but no guarantees.

I went to my room, I got changed for the day, I'll have to change again after for work. I put on a pair of jeans with a simple t-shirt. I changed my shoes, and left my room.

"Going somewhere?" Logan asked, I shrugged my shoulders.

"Beats being here, not that there's something wrong with you." Logan laughed but let me go. Soda decided he would tag along, he said we'd grab Pony, Johnny and Two as well, because why not?

After we grabbed everyone we went down to the drag races, Soda and I were the only ones actually interested, Pony and Johnny stayed near us and talked here and there, as for Two. Who knows where that guy went.

~~~~~Few hours later~~~~~

It's now around three, I finished getting ready for work. Logan said he'd drop me off, I was running around the house doing whatever, I walked outside, Smuffy was running around. Soda scared me by picking me up and spinning me round in cercles.

He put me down when I asked, I was running around with Smuffy. a piece of paper was flying around, it then hit me in the side of the face. I peeled it off me, I read the cover page, I gasped when I saw what it was, then looked at the date.

Soda was standing beside me, he was tearing up. I turned around and hugged him, he was sobbing hard as I started to cry because he was crying.

"I'm so sorry Soda for what happened." He wiped his tears and shrugged it off, I looked at him and hugged him for awhile longer, must've been hard for him.

"It's fine, it's not your fault, it's no ones fault." He told me, he was still partially crying, I sat down with him on the grass.

"Wanna talk about it before I leave?" I asked him, he shrugged his shoulders no then shook his head.

"No it's the past, that event affected all of us, but if I go back and think about it now... No, just leave it at that. Can we talk after your done work?"  I nodded, I hugged him and kissed him as well as he returned it. I got up and left, he looked back at me, I waved then closed the door.

I got in the truck with Logan, he dropped me off, I waved by to him and started working as soon as I got there.

~~~~~After her shift~~~~~

It's now eleven on the dot, I told the guys not to come pick me up from work. I walked down the street on my lonesome, I wouldn't be so lonely if Smuffy or someone was here. I kept walking I was looking down at my feet, I saw my shadow appear beside me. It's dark, how do I see my shadow?

I turned around and saw a nice blue car with their headlights shinning bright. I covered my eyes with my hand, I saw a few guys get out of the car, they called me over to them, must be nice boys.

I walked over and stood in front of them, I saw some guys, then saw Randy behind them.

"These your friends Randy?" I asked, they laughed while I looked at them puzzled. One came up behind me and held my hands behind my back, I was looking around.

"UM are you guys the cops or something? I don't think your suppose to be holding me down..." I spoke, one looked at me funny again, he had brown curly hair, and was wearing some decent clothes.

"No broad, were not" The one spoke, I was getting worried. Another guy came up behind me, he kicked the backs of knees and my right ankle, I fell to the ground. My feet were hurting really bad. That same guy was still holding my hands till he tied a rope around them.

"Randy!! Randy help!!" I was calling out, but he didn't came for me. I thought he was my friend, after I spoke, the curly haired guy with rings slapped me across the face, I screeched.

He laughed, I had enough of this, I started whaling my legs, I kicked him a few times. He grabbed a hold of my legs and got on top of me. He punched me a few good times, I kept screaming, they eventually picked me up and brought me over to a fountain.

"Stop!! Randy help!" I spoke so someone would hear me, after I partially got knocked out, I didn't have the strength to continue on saving myself from these boys. I gave up, they kept dunking my head in and out of the fountain, I swallowed too much water, I was coughing and making weird sounds.

I eventually couldn't feel anything, then everything went from blurry water to dark blackness. I knew I was out cold, who knows how long? Who will come find me? Will someone come find me? All I knew, is I didn't know if I would survive the night knowing I was almost drowned and maybe still am.

Logan's POV

I decided to stay up, I'm gonna wait for AJ to come home, she should be home in five minutes roughly, I started yawning, I'm so tired. I laid down on the couch and watched tv, Tegan went to Steve's earlier.

I couldn't keep my eyes open, I saw the door open one final time, Soda and a younger version of Soda, who I assume is his brother, walked in.

"Hey Logan, do you mind if we wait for AJ? I have to talk to her...." He asked

"No, I'm tired so I'm gonna doze off, she might get home late so if you fall asleep before she gets home, it's fine. I know she's safe." I told them, They nodded, I fell asleep in the darkness of my living room.

Soda's POV

I was tired but I needed to talk to Audrey before I head to bed. Pony tagged along because he had nothing to do. we sat down on the couch, Ponyboy looked tired, he fell asleep not long after we got here. I tried staying awake too but fell asleep beside him.
