He Left Me!

Audrey's POV

"AJ! Get out of bed, you have an interview for your job today and so do I!" I heard Tegan yell from the other side of my bedroom door. I sighed and rolled over onto my stomach. He knocked on the door again, I I mumbled words to him.

"Come on, I don't want to be late!" He said, I looked at him and rolled onto my back.

"Just saying your not gonna get the job anyway... wherever you apply!" I stated, he looked at me and gasped, yes he gasped.

"Just so you know, I probably will get the job, besides you don't know where I'm applying anyway!"

"So... as long as your not applying where I am, then I couldn't care less." I told him, he smiled and messed my hair up. I kicked him out of my room, got dressed then went down stairs to the kitchen.

I grabbed some cereal, orange grape juice and a cookie from the jar. I sat down on the couch, just as I sat down the door bell rang. Who could be awake at seven am plus on a Sunday morning!

"AJ can you get the door! it's someone I'm waiting for!"  Let's hope it's not who I think it is, I'm guessing you know who it is? I groaned and walked up to the door, I opened it and to my surprise it was him...

"What do you want?" I asked Steve, he had a hand on one side of the door frame while he leaned on one foot against the door frame. I looked at him, he shrugged his shoulders, I pushed him and closed the door.

"Hey! What was that for?" He said, as he walked in the house. Great... never gonna get rid of him. He sat on  my chair where my food was, I got mad and just about punched him when Tegan walked in and stopped me.

"What are you doing?"

"Getting this oily kid out of my chair and his big face off my spoon!" I yelled, Tegan moved me back and talked to Steve. I ignored him, then he turned around and looked at me.

"Steve is coming with us today, plus I'm gonna apply for a job at the DX!" I nearly fell over.

"Ugh... why?" I mumbled

"What was that?" I looked at him and smiled.

"All cheery! Now let's go before I loose my spot!" I demanded, they laughed but pushed through me to the door. They got in the truck, I ended up sitting by myself in the back seat. They laughed and whatever.

Tegan dropped me off at the nightly double, or the drive-in as they call it, either or! I walked up to the movie house, I asked for the manger. I walked into his office and sat down, lots of talking now.

2 Hours later....

I was siting on the curb waiting for Tegan, he was suppose to be here 15 minutes ago. He left me again, reminded me of the time when my dad forgot me at school, I sat there for over 45 minutes that day waiting for him, but the thing is I nearly died that day too.

Just thinking back on that day, and my dad. I started to cry, I pulled my knees to my chest and sobbed into my knees. I cried and cried, I was starting to say things like why them? Should of been me...

" No it shouldn't of..." Someone said, I looked up and hoped that Logan was there, but it was Soda. I looked back at the ground. He sat beside me, I moved a little and continued looking at the ground.

"You don't know anything, you don't know my situation... just leave me alone..." I was upset and kinda angry, not at Soda.

"How would you know? Like you said, I don't know you, you don't know me..." He said, and I agree. I was still crying just not as bad as I was before he got here.

"Sorry Soda, I didn't mean to be rude or anything, it's just been hard, then my brother forgets me to be with your best friend..." I was rambling on and on.

"Want a ride home?" He asked, I looked up at him.

"Yea, thanks Soda!" I said, he nodded. He helped me to my feet, I got in his truck, on the ride back we were talking.

"Why were you crying exactly?" He asked, I shrugged my shoulders.

"Oh, just a memory I guess... my parents died over a month ago in crash that I should of died in as well. Anyway I was thinking of how my dad forgot me at school one day and that day happens to be the day he died." I sighed and took a break, I breathed in and out a few times before continuing.

"Just the fact that Tegan left me, made me think of that day and I guess the tears got to me." I told him, he just looked at me. I looked out the window and sighed.

"Don't worry I've been in your shoes..." I looked at him, he took a breather and continued. "My parents both died over a year ago in a car accident too, I guess it took some time, and yea it had a big effect on out lives. Don't worry though, you'll pull though." He told me, we stopped at his house since mine was beside his.

I smiled and looked at him, I gave him a hug. He hugged me back, I just sat with him while we hugged, felt good I guess, knowing someone has been thought what I have been and is willing to stay strong and help you. Made me feel like something, like I was special.

"Thank you Soda! Don't worry, If I ever need anything, I'm willing to come talk to you." I told him, he smiled. I got out of the truck, he continued to sit there, I noticed he was watching me.

I walked around the truck to his window. I poked him and smiled, he smiled back.

"Bye AJ! Try not to cry as much!" He yelled as I walked away from him, I smiled.

"Bye Soda! I'll try not too!!" I yelled back, I ran into my house. I saw Tegan, Steve siting on the couch watching drag races, that's put thing, I was still mad at him, so I ignored him and walked to the backyard with Smuffy.
