Alex's POV
"You finally answered," Tom said into my phone. "It's about bloody time."
I fell back onto my bed and stared up at the ceiling, already done talking to him. "What do you want?"
"I want you to come to your senses, Alex. You walked out on a music video that has already cost us a lot of money. We have to pay all those people double for staying an extra day and-"
"Then pay them," I said. "I don't care."
"I know you don't care," he said. "But that's not all I'm calling about."
Of course it wasn't.
"You have gigs all across Europe for the next three months," he said. "All pre-paid, so there won't be any of that 'I don't care' shit, Alex. We don't have to finish the video. That's your money, that's on you. But you will be at the airport tomorrow. All four of you. And we're going to fly to London and start the gigs and forget about this whole bloody weekend."
Tomorrow. It seemed too soon.
"You don't have a choice here, Alex," he said. "They've already paid you. Either you show up or your career is gone. And not even just yours, but your mates. Matt, Jamie, Nick..."
I couldn't even argue with that. I hated the bastard, but he was right.
"I'll see you at the airport at noon," he said "Get some sleep and come to your senses."
The line went dead. I felt like throwing my phone across the room. And I might have if Indi had popped her head into my room.
"We're going down the pool, Brad," she said. "Get your ass up."
And then she was gone, her and Rose's laughter disappearing down the hall. She didn't have to ask me twice. I got up and followed her out the door.
I followed her. Of course, I followed her.
