Here's the synopsis:
Book nerd Aria Sinclair is entrusted with the new principal's son, Nate Marks. Nate is notoriously bad and deemed a troublemaker by all, which makes him an outcast, like Aria. As Aria deals with the trouble of communicating with other people, besides her best friend Simone, Nate is slowly trying to draw her out of her shell. As Nate and Aria bond, she becomes increasingly aware of the heat in her cheeks and the wave of electricity that jolts through her everytime he touches her. Can these two outcasts become friends and eventually turn into something more?

I picked up the phone, "Hello?"

"Ms. Williams?" The voice asked, sounding vaguely familiar.

"Yes? And by the way, it's Mrs. Carter now," I furrowed my brow, "And you better not be trying to sell me anything."

I had had about five calls today about some company trying to sell me duct cleaning services.

The voice chuckled, "Not trying to sell you anything, this is just your lawyer, Lamar."

"Oh, sorry about that," I said sheepishly.

I could almost hear the smile in his voice, "Not a problem. I have some fantastic news. Evelyn has decided to revoke the contracts. Your marriage no longer exists."

"Wait, does that mean I'm not married anymore?"

He sighed, "That's what I said, yes."

I paused. So after all that drama Derek and I went through we were now both deemed as single? The trouble was that I didn't want to be single. I pictured Derek with another woman, Marissa instantly popped into my mind. I shuddered a little. I didn't want Derek with any other woman than me.

"Mrs. Carter are you still there? Or should I say Williams now that you're no longer married?" Lamar questioned.

No longer married. I didn't like the sound of that.

"It's Mrs. Carter now."

I had to get married.

"Aren't we already married?" Derek asked me.

I frowned, "Not anymore. Not since the contracts are gone. Legally, there's nothing binding us together anymore."

"Isn't that what you wanted? I knew you always hated those contacts."

"Only because Evelyn was holding it over our heads as an ultimatum!" I protested.

He nodded whilst munching on a chocolate chip cookie he'd made this morning, "That's true."

I stepped up into his personal space and put my hands against his stubbled cheekbones, "Just think, this is our chance to do things the right way. To have our dream wedding. To really be together."

He seemed to contemplate the idea for a moment. I traced my finger up his jawline seductively. He brushed my hand away.

"I can't think properly when you do that," He breathed as his long breaths turned into several shallow ones.

I grinned mischievously and pulled his arm toward the hallway that led to the bedroom. "Then don't think."

He smiled back and lifted me off my feet. I squealed in excitement as he spun me around before setting me back down.
