He turned to me with a smirk and I gripped my weapon in my palms, glaring daggers at him.

"Don't you dare touch her," I spat through gritted teeth and he formed a double bladed ice spear in his hand.

"I was gonna make her death quick and painless, but now that you're here, you can watch as I torture her!" He laughed and I took action.

Striking one needle at his spear, it went through the ice and I smirked, he looked worried. I pulled it back by its chain, throwing the spear out of range and I looked back for a second to make sure it was out of reach.

"Ha! Not so slick after-ah!" I gasped out as he punched me right in the jaw and fell back, coughing up blood and he cowered over me.

He formed an ice dagger in his hand and made his way back to Pidge. I spit the blood out of my mouth and got back up as he raised the dagger. I shoved her out of the way and as I closed my eyes, I only heard a grunt. . .?

"Jinx! Thank god he didn't hurt you that bad," Shiro ran to my aid, it was Keith who blocked the hit and knocked out Gray.

He helped me up and I looked at the blood on my hand, my blood.

"Where's Allura? Is everyone safe?" I asked.

"Yes, everyone's safe Jinx. Let's get that cleaned up-"

"No, I'll take myself to clean up, you stay here and make sure Gray doesn't pull anything, okay?"

"Sounds good," He kissed my forehead and I made my way towards the infirmary.

Some blood was still coming out of my mouth and I was disgusted at the copper taste in my mouth.

Shiro

I have to ask her.

No, no you don't. She's probably not even ready!

But this is Jinx I'm talking about, she's ready for almost anything you throw at her!

She's different now though, she's not the same kill-happy assassin anymore.

"What'cha thinking about?" Lance asked, coming into my room.

"Jinx, and. . .it's nothing Lance-"

"When it comes to you and her, it's never just 'nothing'," I hated to say it but he was right.

"Alright, but you can't tell anyone about this yet because I'll be doing it today," I quietly told him what I was planning on doing.

"WHAAAAAA?!"

"Ssh!" I shushed him.

"Wh-whoa, who knew you could move that fast in a relationship Shiro," Lance playfully hit my shoulder.

"I just don't know if the time is right-" He rested his hand on my shoulder.

"This is Jinx we're talkin' about, the Jinx Jade. She's ready," I smiled.

"Thanks Lance. . .well, here goes everything."

Jinx

I had cleaned the blood out of my mouth by sloshing some water around in my mouth.

I had a small cut on my knee so I disinfected it and put a small bandage on it. As I was about to exit, the door opened to reveal Shiro.

He took a deep breath and walked towards me, took my hands in his, and looked straight into my eyes.

"Nope, can't do it."

"Shiro! Hey, is everything okay?" I asked, having him look at me as he tried to walk out.

"Y-yeah, everything's fine Jinx, it's just. . .it was a stupid question."

"What was a stupid question? You didn't ask me anything."

"You wouldn't care-"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Hold on there Takashi, I might care if you tell me," He was trying to avoid eye contact with me.

"It's nothing-"

"It's never nothing with us. Now, Takashi Shirogane, tell me right now," I demanded and his eyes poured into mine before asking me one of the most important questions in my entire life.

"Will you marry me?"
