Keith

"Agh!" One of the guards slammed me down onto the ground and I groaned in pain.

"Keith-!" They blocked Shiro from me.

"He has one of our blades. Who did you steal this from?!" He demanded as I struggled to get out of his grip.

"I didn't! I've had it all my life!" I was telling the truth, I really was, but they weren't buying it because they're just as stubborn as any regular Galra.

"Lies!"

"Is he telling the truth? Did this boy really have this blade?" The leader asked Shiro.

"I-I don't know," Shiro admitted and I felt somewhat betrayed for a moment.

"Shiro, you know me, I'd never steal anything. I've had this knife as long as I can remember. I saw which else had a knife like this, tell me what it means!" I demanded, urgent to find out more about my past.

"Our organization is built on secrecy and trust. You two should leave. . .now."

"I object to this decision!"

A voice shouted, it sounded like a girl, and it emerged from the shadows in the same armor as everyone else and took off its helmet.

She's human?!

"You let me in because I proved to you of my loyalty and trust, why not let him?" She asked, glancing at me with her crimson red eyes.

Who is she?

"You are an exception, princess. You proved that you could betray-" She cut him off by bringing out a large katana with the same marking on it as the others and as fast as lightning, she was holding it to his throat.

"I am no exception, I am like everyone else here. And the only reason I betrayed him was because I never knew him, you've known me since my birth!" She growled, angry.

How did she do that?!

So fast. . .

"We came here to form an alliance, but obviously we're not welcome, come on Keith, let's go," Shiro sneered.

"Not without some answers. Look, somehow one of your knives ended up with me on planet Earth, tell me how."

"Your friend is right, it is time for you to go."

"Where did to come from?! I have to know!" Now I was getting angry, and the girl could see that.

"You seek knowledge? There is only one way to attain knowledge here." He finally gave in.

"How?! I'll do it!" I asked, the girl whispered something to him.

"The trial of Marmora, should you survive you may keep the blade and it's secrets will be revealed."

I need to know, I have to!

I'm tired of living a lie.

Oriana

He's very eager to get answers, just like I was.

Our leader had taken me in when I was a baby, my father was going to raise me to become like him, which is not what I would've wanted. He kept me safe from all chaos for as long as he could.

When I grew older, I wanted to know who my father was and why I had earned this blade so young. He told me after I survived the trial of Marmora and I realized that my birth father was a murderer.

He was just as evil as Zarkon, and because of my birth right, I was called 'princess' by all of us here, which I hate.

"Staring is rude, if you haven't heard," I said to the Black Paladin and he looked surprised that I even mentioned anything about him staring.

"I'm sorry, it's just that my girlfriend looks just like you, well, not like you but she looks human-"

"Do not ask such questions to our princess." The two guards beside me said in sync and I sighed.

"It is fine, now, go on."

"Thank you, but she does look human. She's half Altean, half Galran, she's known as Jinx Jade." I've heard that name before, but now it peeked my interest.

"Jinx Jade is your lover? Hm, surprising. My birth father never really went for the heroic ones," I muttered the last part, hoping he didn't hear me and gladly he didn't.

"I am half Galran and half Altean too, but I doubt we're related. My mothers name is Lucia," His eyes widened.

"Oh, no that's not what I meant! I didn't mean to imply that Jinx could be your mother, I meant that, um-" I zoned him out, knowing what he was implying and letting him ramble.

I know he meant, that maybe we were related by being sisters, but we're not.

"Paladin, if my people won't join you in your fight with Zarkon, then I will. I have a blade as well and am much more skilled then our leader himself," I gestured to my katana.

"Princess! You-"

"I may get hurt, but so be it. I will get revenge on Zarkon for turning my father into a murderer," I cut one of the guards off.

"Very well princess."

Zarkon, you turned my father into a murderer of mass destruction. Therefor, you shall pay the ultimate price.
