Jinx

"You have a lot of explaining to do," Shiro ran his Galran hand through his hair as we sat down in my room. I couldn't bare to explain why I kept this from him, mostly because I didn't have a reason why I did.

"I guess. . .I guess I wanted to tell-"

"You guess? Jinx, were you even going to tell me?" Shiro asked and I stood up from the bed, shocked and hurt.

"Of course I was, I just didn't want to do it so. . .so quickly! I didn't want to see you hurt over me," I explained.

"What do you mean?" He asked and I sighed. Grabbing his Galran arm, he flinched and I stared into his grey eyes. Leading him to the bed, I made him sit down with me as I intertwined our fingers together.

"You've been hurt so many times before. When you were Champion, our battle against Zarkon, even the time when a guard was so fed up with me and tried to attack me, but you stepped in and took the hit for me. . .So I made a conclusion that maybe I was the main reason for all your pain, that you'd be better off without me," I explained and he pulled his hand away, only to hug me unexpectedly. After a few moments, I hugged him back.

"How could you think something like that? You've made my life better with you in it. Would you want that if it was reversed? If I thought me dying would be better for you?" He murmered into my hair.

"No, actually I might even hit you if you ever said that. Don't die on me, okay?" I asked jokingly and he chuckled.

"I won't, I promise."

[All of you probably want to murder me right now]

[Time skipz]

"Okay, now that it's confirmed that Zarkon is tracking us through the Black Lion, we have to find some way to stop him," Shiro stated with everyone in the room.

"How are we gonna do that?" Pidge asked, curious as Mīna was at the moment with her blue eye's staring at us.

"We've never had this situation before. Two Paladins battling for the same lion," Allura informed us.

"Perhaps a stronger bond between you and the lion will weaken it's bond with Zarkon? Kind of like how me and Pidge have a bond," Gray asked and Pidge blushed.

Aw, they're so cute.

"Whatever it it, we don't want Zarkon taking over Voltron everytime we get close. Gray is right, I'll have to form a new bond with my lion, one that's stronger then his."

Now that is going to be a challenge.

After ten thousand years of not having a Paladin and then suddenly having a new one might make it harder.

"While you're working on that, all of us need to find some new Teledove lenses, or else we won't be able to travel by wormhole," Coran explained our other situation at hand.

"Is that something we have to mail order?"
"Do they even make those anymore?"

"I don't know, only a few Alteans could use a Teledove ten thousand years ago. They may not exist anymore," Allura sighed while Coran stroked his mustache for no reason.

"I think I may know where we can get some."

I think I know where this is going.

Four scoffed and walked away. Mīna stayed and followed Coran like a lost puppy and seemed fascinated by his lesson, while Pidge was asking Gray more questions about his powers.

"Jinx, I have to-"

"Go strengthen the bond with your lion? I thought you'd say that, so go, I'll be fine," He nodded, going off and I saw my mom smiling at me cheekily from the corner of my eye.

"What?" I asked innocently as she made her way towards me.

"You two are so. . .compatible! It's honestly adorable my orchid, I can't wait for grandbabies!" She clasped her hands together and I turned red.

"MOM!"

"What?" She repeated innocently with a giggle.

"Do you think. . .that I should say yes?" I asked, really needing advice from my mother at this moment.

"Jinx, look at me," She grabbed me by my shoulders, looking into my eyes.

"I can see how much this man loves you, you two are perfect puzzle pieces meant to fit together. You deserve to be happy my orchid, and if that happiness has found you and wants to make you feel happy the rest of your life, then you should let it," My mothers words were both wise and caring, just like she is.

"Thank you mom," I hugged her and she hugged back, I smiled, feeling the same warmth from when I was a child when she'd hug me.

Mīna

I watched as the golden markings made it's way up my arm and sighed.

Why choose me? I'm an ungrateful princess! I don't deserve these powers!

"Where's Mīna? Have you seen her, Coran?" I heard Lance ask for me near my door and I walked out.

"Yes?" I asked and he turned to me with pink dusted cheeks.

Coran walked away, but I didn't know why so I was quite curious on why Lance was asking for me.

"U-um, Mīna? You like. . .rocks, right?" He was stuttering with his words and my eyes traveled to the small bag he was carrying.

Smirking, I snatched it and the chase began.

"Mīna! Give it back! You can't see it now!" He yelled but I was much faster then him. Reaching my hand into the bag, my fingers brushed against pearls!

Stopping, I grabbed whatever was in the bag and pulled it out. My breath hitched in my throat when I saw what it was.

"How did you get these?" I demanded and he shuffled his feet in an uncomfortable manner.

"The mall. . .I got them for you."

"Well then. . .THEY'RE BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE IT SO MUCH! THANK YOU LANCE!" I practically screeched and tackled him in a hug.

The gift he had gotten for me was a necklace of pink pearls which are the rarest kind. And they're real, no fake, my mother would love Lance!
