Oriana

"You're a. . .pretty good fighter," Keith said inbetween breathes. We had had a small battle, trying to see which one is the better fighter, and we have a tie.

"Not too. . .bad yourself," I poked him in the ribs and he chuckled.

"Ah, there you are Keith. Get to your lion, you know what we need to do," Shiro, my uncle, spoke to Keith and he nodded and ran out.

"Morning Oriana-"

"Shiro, can I ask you something real quick?" I asked, already heading towards his lion with him.

"Um, sure. What is it?"

"I know how much you love my-I mean Jinx, but has she told you of anyone else? Any other family members?" Questioning this, he looked curious.

"No, she hasn't. I thought she was an only ch-"

"Oh, she is. I was just wondering if maybe she had more family. Good day," I walked off, leaving him confused.

"Oriana, Four, Mīna, mom, Gray, come on. They'll need all the help they can get. Mīna, you're paired up with Lance in battle. Oriana, you're with Keith. Four, stick with me and Shiro. Gray, stay with Pidge. Mom, Coran will need all the help he can get, along with Allura. Move it!" We all nodded and went to our posts.

[Awwww~! All the OTPS' together!]

Again, how?

How can they be related?

She's so strong and has such a strong mate. My mother. . .let's just say my father liked the women who didn't defend themselves.

"Zarkon took the bait, he's got my location. Is everybody in position?" Shiro asked.

"We've not yet heard from Thace, he was supposed to contact us two vargace ago."

Oh no.

"He could've been captured," Antok guessed.

"Or killed. We need to abort the mission immediately-"

"Abort? No! We cannot back away now," Allura glared, challenging them.

"The Blade of Marmora does not take chances. It's how we've survived for so long."

"It's held you back. Your caution is the reason Zarkon is still in power!"

She's right. That's all we've ever done.

I will not back out now!

Pulling my blade from its sheath, the light hit it perfectly, reflecting off it beautifully.

"My lady?" Kolivan asked.

"We are fighting, Kolivan. I'm not backing out, not when I'm so close to victory," I dared them to challenge me.

"It's too late to get someone else on the insid-"

"I'll do it," Keith stood up bravely.

"What?"

"I'll sneak onto Zarkons ship, I'm part Galra so I'll be able to interact with their technology. Pidge, you still have that cloaking device, right?" He asked and for a moment, I admired him.

He just volunteered like that?

But, why?

"Oriana, I'll need you to go with him. He'll need the help. Think you can handle it?" Pidge snapped me out of my daze and I nodded, my cheeks turning pink.

"Of course I can," I answered, flustered.

"Going onto Zarkons ship is a suicide mission, and I cannot allow Lady Oriana to endanger herself in such a reckless-"

"Kolivan, I'm sorry, but I'm going. This blade serves a purpose in my life, and I'm not letting my mother's death be in vain!" Accidentally letting that out, I avoided all eye contact.

Keith

Her mother gave her that blade. . .?

Oriana avoided all eye contact either everybody, the same way I did when I found out I wasn't fully human.

"You're not letting her go because of that? She's a great fighter, and if Zarkon has killed her mother, then don't stop her," I defended her, but Allura eyed both of us.

"Pidge, get that pod ready. Keith. . .let me know when you're on your way, I'll give you cover," Shiro spoke to me from his lion.

"Oriana. . .avenge your mother. I'd do the same," I didn't see Jinx doing it, but I could tell she was smiling and pride was in her voice.

Oriana

"Okay, cloaking device is ready to go," Pidge put it into the pod.

"Pidge, Oriana, may I have a moment with Keith please?"

"Oh, um, sure, have all the moments you like," Exclaimed Pidge, looking between us before walking away. I walked off with Pidge, but stuck my sword between the door so it wouldn't close. It stayed open enough for them not to see me, but for me to listen to them.

Does she know about me?

Did Iris tell her?

"Is there something I can help you with?" Keith asked.

"I-I. . .I just wanted to say. . .the Galra, they've done terrible things, destroyed entire civilizations. They took my family, but in time, I've grown to consider you and the Paladins my family. So, when I learned you were Galran, I. . .I didn't know what to think. I wanted to hate you."

What's the reason for her telling him this?

"Allura, it's-" She cut him off.

"But it's not you. It's me. My anger has blinded me for too long," She ran up and hugged him!

"I'm so sorry I misjudged you. You've proven it's not what's in your blood. It's who you are that counts-" I stopped listening.

Anger boiled inside of me and I didn't know why!

I can't be jealous, can I?!

Ugh! I hate emotions!

When she pulled away, I put my sword back in its sheath and put my hands on my hips.

"You done now?" I asked through gritted teeth.

"Yes. Thank you for understanding, Keith."

Little princess thinks she can-no! Stop it!

God, I sound like my dad.
