Chapter 5

Ryan's POV

We arrived at the dance and the teacher in charge told us to just keep our eyes out so we went and sat down at the side of the room

The other parents who were helping arrived soon after, they usually come over and talk to me, especially the moms but they take one look at Chloe sat next to me and walk in the other direction

I look at her and I know she saw that, I wrap my arm around her and pull her closer, she leans her head on my shoulder and I kiss her head gently

"You okay baby?" I ask her quietly and she nods slowly but I don't believe her

I sigh inwardly, I feel really bad, she doesn't deserve all this just because she's married to me, I'm so lucky, she could do so much better than me, I mean she's 24 now and drop dead gorgeous, I'm just me

Chloe's POV

I snuggled into Ryan and tried not to think about it too much but I knew the other parents were staring at us, some of the kids were too and it's so weird

As the music started getting louder and faster the kids started dancing around and having a good time but the moms were still glaring at me from across the room, most of them were single moms who were like 10 years older than Ryan and yet everyone's judging is because I'm 7 years younger? Okay then that's not hypocritical at all

I feel Ryan move so I lift my head, he stand up and puts out his hand

"Dance with me?" He asks hopefully, the smile on his face gives me butterflies and makes me blush so hard

"You know how much that'll embarrass Toby?" I point but he just shrugs with a smirk

I giggle and take his hand, I can't say no to him, I just can't

I take his hand and he starts spinning me around, it reminds me of our first dance at our wedding and that makes me blush even more

We keep dancing and then I slip and nearly fall over, I fall into him and he catches me carefully, I can't stop giggling and his adorable smile is not helping

He leans down and kisses me

Suddenly I hear clapping and cheering and I turn around to see all the teenage girls in the room going crazy, they're all swooning at how cute we apparently are and I chuckle as does Ryan

"Toby's gonna be a hit with the ladies now, and I'm gonna be a hit with all the guys in his class" Ryan tells me and I give him a confused smile

"Why?" I ask in confusion

"Well my darling wife, all the girls are gonna be talking about how cute his parents are for weeks and all the guys are gonna be like how on earth did I manage to marry a girl like you" he explains he me but I'm still confused

"What do you mean a girl like me?" I question and he chuckles softly

"Chloe you're one of the hottest girls ever and the fact you've 7 years younger than me makes it that much better to these hormonal teenage boys" he explains to me and then it clicks

"Oh....ohhhhhhh" I exclaim as I finally get what he means

"I'm not that pretty" I reply, I'm not, I don't know what he's sees in me, he's absolutely amazing and I'm just little me, emphasis on little, Toby is pretty much my height and Ryan is a foot taller than me

"Babe you are absolutely stunning" he tells me and I just roll my eyes, as if

"You've also got the best personality, you're so kind and caring and sweet, I'm so lucky you married me because you're one of a kind" he tells me and there we go again with the blushing
