Chapter 15

Ryan's POV

When Chloe hadn't resurfaced after about an hour and a half I started to get a bit worried, what was going on with her, she hadn't been this skittish since her and Toby started getting along

Then I heard Toby yelling and the front door slamming shut, I ran straight in to see what was going on

"Toby! What happened?!" I asked worriedly, I quickly noticed he only had one friend with him now but there were two friends when I brought them back from school

"Adam was being rude about Chloe so I told him to get out and stay the hell away from me, I wasn't gonna let him just say shit about her" he say angrily

"Oh look my mum's here! Gotta go! Bye Toby! Bye Mr McCartan!" Jake exclaimed hurriedly before running out of the house, his mum wasn't coming to pick him up, he lives down the road, he was gonna walk home, even Jake knows serious shit just happened

"Okay get on with your homework, I'm gonna go check on Chloe" I tell Toby before quickly heading upstairs to see what's going on with Chloe

I walking out bedroom and she's nowhere to be found but then I hear the sound of sniffling and crying, it's faint but nearby, it doesn't take me long to realise it's coming from mine and Chloe's bathroom

I try to open the door but it's locked

"Chloe honey, can you let me in please?" I ask but get no response

I sigh and then try again

"Chlo baby, please unlock the door" I ask her

This time I hear movement, I listen as she gets up, the I hear the door unlock and it opens just enough to let me go in

I go in and she closes the door again before retaking her seat on the floor so I sit down beside her

"Chloe what you heard down there was Adam not Toby and when Adam said what he said about you Toby yelled at him and then kicked him out" I tell her, as I do she turns to look at me in what I'd call disbelief

"R....really?" She stutters, unconvinced

"Yeah" I assure her but something still seems to be wrong

I watch as another tear falls down her cheek

"Babe talk to me, what's wrong?" I ask her gently as I put an arm around her

She says nothing but lifts her hand up and I see she has something in it

As I get a better look my breath catches and my heart skips a beat

A pregnancy test? A positive one....so she's....?

"You're pregnant?" I ask her as gently as I can

She says nothing but nods for confirmation

I'm gonna become a father again? With Chloe? Chloe's having my baby? My baby is growing inside her right now?

Chloe POV

I watch his every move very closely, terrified of how he'd react

Then suddenly the hugest grin I've ever seen comes across him face

He jumps up, carefully gets me up then spins me around before putting me down and kissing me a bunch of times

When he finally stopped I couldn't stop giggling, he pulls me into another hug, he's the cutest ever, he seems so excited

"That's the best thing I've ever heard!" He exclaims happily and I chuckle

"Really?" I ask him, still unsure but at least now the smile on my face is real

"Having a baby with you will be one of the best things that has ever happened to me, this is amazing!" His excitement was very reassuring to me, maybe this was gonna be a good thing

"I was so scared you wouldn't want this baby, I...I thought you would leave me" I admitted in a whisper

"Babe I would never leave you because you were pregnant" he points out, slightly hurt by the suggestion

"I know, my mind was just spinning, I thought you'd already done all that before you wouldn't want another baby when you finally got out of that baby stuff" I told him honestly

"Well I do, I want to have a baby with you" he assures me and I nod, trying to accept that as the truth

"Okay" I acknowledge

"Can we tell Toby?" He asks me and I feel my breath catch, he's gonna hate me

"Can we wait to see a doctor first?" I ask him but he doesn't look convinced it's a good idea

"Okay" he agrees but I can hear the hesitancy in his voice

I know I'm probably just putting this off but I really do think it's best if we see a doctor before we say anything to Toby
