Chapter 7

Ryan's POV

That day was one of the best days, after that they were really getting close, he was helping her around the house and she was helping him with his homework, we were just a normal family

Then one of my worst nightmares came true, I never thought there'd even be a chance this would happen, I prayed it wouldn't

One day the doorbell rang and the person stood on my doorstep when I answered it....she was someone I hadn't seen in 14 years

"Hey Ryan" she spoke snobbishly, I had loved her but she was always a bit of a bitch

"No Sophie not hey you can't be here, leave!" I tell her angrily, she is not disrupting Toby's life now

Why the hell is she even back now, I haven't heard from her since the day she ran off, otherwise known as the day Toby was freaking born

"I want to see my son" she tells me

"Yeah well I don't give a fuck what you want, you ran out on him the day he was born and you didn't say a word for over 14 years, you're never going near him again" I hiss at her in annoyance and anger, she can stay the fuck away from my son thank you very much

"You can't deny me access Ryan" she tells me and I just scoff

"Actually I went to court and won full custody of him so I can do whatever the fuck I like, you have no rights Sophie, you're not even legally his mother anymore, no matter what it says on his birth certificate you were never his mother and you never will be" I tell her, I can feel my temper rising

Then just because my day needed to get worse I hear footsteps coming down the stairs

"Ry baby what's going on?" Chloe asks me as she comes down the stairs

Shit no please I'm having a nightmare, pretty please!

Yeah no I'm not

Yippee, not

"Babe it's fine, go back upstairs and I'll be up in a minute, we'll talk then" I tell her but too late, Sophie's caught wind of her

I actually hate this moment more than any other moment of my entire life

"Aw how cute you've got a little girlfriend, hope you know she's never gonna actually be Toby's mom" she sneers

"Actually I've got a wife and legally she is his mother, she adopted him when we got married, so go fuck yourself Sophie, I was in love with you, I wanted to have a life and a family with you and you just walked out on me and our son without a second thought so you don't get to flounce back in now and act like you never left because you did leave and that's that" I snarl, trying to keep my temper in check, I'm better than losing my shit at her

Oh and Chloe now walks up next to me just because I couldn't be allowed to break this to her gently, have I committed some sort of major crime in my sleep last night because karma really seems to be being a bitch

"Oh you're actually kidding me, the girl who's playing mother to my son is a kid herself? What are you like 10?" She mocks Chloe

Oh yeah she's found my line, leave my wife the fuck alone or be ready for the torrent of abuse I will unleash upon you

"She's 24 and in the time I've been married to her she's been more of a mother to Toby than you've been his entire freaking life" I tell her aggressively, she seems slightly taken aback by that but quickly regains her composure

"I want to see my son and he has a right to see me if he wants to" fuck her but she's actually right, he should get to make the decision

"Well he's not home yet so I guess you're gonna have to deal with it aren't you, you don't deserve my son" I snarl at her

"Our son" she attempts to correct me but I'm having none of it

"You lost the right to call him your son when you walked out on him the day he was born" I remind her angrily

"Well I'll be back Friday evening, he can make his decision then" she tells me finally and then turns around, making sure to have a rather large flip of the hair, before flouncing away

I swear to god, WHY?!?!
