Chapter 13

Chloe's POV

I finally worked up the courage to turn it over and look at it

Dear god I'm ready for this

'Positive'

Oh shit, what the fuck do I do now?

*flashback*

It's been 6 weeks since Sophie was sent packing, Toby and Ryan and I have been doing really well as a family

Or we were

I've been on and off sick for the last two months, I'd been feeling weird in general lately, something seemed off

It hadn't occurred to me somehow that I missed more than one period, I got so wrapped up in everything that was going on that I just forgot everything else

But this morning, I was really sick and I realised how long ago my last period was and it all clicked

There were other explanations for these symptoms but I had to check it out so I knew the truth

I called in sick and took the day off work, I knew I needed to take a test before Ryan got home and he had an early day today, usually he gets back at 5pm but today he was coming back at 3

I went straight to the drug store once I was sure no one was home to know I'd left, if I was wrong about this I didn't want anyone to ever find out, if Toby found out I took a pregnancy test it would probably end up setting us back and I don't want to send Ryan the wrong message

What was I gonna do if I was pregnant? Toby would probably hate me and Ryan....well would Ryan want another kid? I mean Toby is a teenager, Ryan hasn't had to deal with a baby in over a decade would he really be willing to do that again?

I could've sworn we'd always used protection, I can't be on the pill because they were giving me really bad headaches and apparently it screws up my hormones which wasn't good so if we'd forgotten even one time to use protection then I could be pregnant

My mind was swirling with all the different thoughts

I just can't be pregnant, I can't, that was all I could think about

I got to the store and found my way to the right place, before me were a whole bunch of different pregnancy tests, of course next to them were the condoms just to mock me

I grabbed two so that I could be sure of the answer and then took them up to the counter

I had no makeup on and I tend to look like I'm a teenager when I don't have any on, if you didn't know I wasn't at least, my small height didn't help either so when I put two pregnancy tests on the counter I got a very dirty look from the woman behind the till

I gave her the money, stuffed the tests in my bag and went straight home, running most of the way

As soon as I got him I went into my room, read the instructions and then immediately headed into the bathroom to take the tests

When the torture of having to wait for the results were finally over I went to turn the first one over but I had to take a minute first

*flashback ends*

Having seen positive on the first test I decided fuck it just turn the other one over

Positive again

Oh shit, okay then, uhh

Wow

I'm pregnant

Uh oh, what will happen? How will they take the news she's pregnant? I have one Emily who knows what's gonna happen because she was there when I thought of this freaking in my DM's on Ig and he other emily going nuts in my comments section 😂😂 xoxo
