Nadia

I was waiting in my car for Caleb, he was taking quite a while but I understood that he had basketball practice. I had a very long and tiring day and I just wanted to go home. He finally rocked up in a new sweater, after all that sweating from practice meant he had to change.

"Hey, sorry I'm late basketball duties," he says apologetically as he hopped in the passengers seat.

"It's alright, trust me I understand... the amount of odour I could smell when I walked into you boys changing rooms was atrocious, so you can take as long as you want in that shower," I reply chuckling whilst starting the engine.

"By the way would it be a problem if you dropped me of to my aunties house... it's just I haven't seen my brothers in a while,"

"Yeah of course, just tell me the address," he puts the location into the GPS.

"Alright cool thanks ummm I really appreciate it," he says acting like its such a big deal.

"Caleb, I'm not giving you a Grammy, all I'm doing is dropping you off to your Aunties house," I chuckle.

"I know but some people have a lot going on in their life and they wouldn't show me the same kindness," he smiles.

"Well I'm not some people," I grin.

"Speaking of basketball odours, why did you take Devonte out of practice?" He asks quite interested but I couldn't tell him otherwise it would be like everyone would know about the situation except for Pamela and that would not be fair.

"No reason," I say back quickly and looks at me quizzically.

"Do you.... like Devonte?" I was about to halt the car for the second time today when that question came out of his mouth.

"You think I'd like Devonte!" I laugh. "Honestly Caleb I don't even know what to say to you!"

"Alright I thought wrong," he shrugged.

"Yeah Caleb... you went to the other side of the spectrum,"

Honestly, what was he thinking? Me liking Devonte?

"Alright well why did it seem so tense between you two?"

"Caleb, look that's for me and Devonte to sort out and anyways you'll find out all in due time," I reply back to him. He was so nosey and it killed me.

"It's just... I didn't like seeing you drag a guy out of that sweaty gym hall especially my best friend," he grunts and I look at him questioning as to why he was saying that.

"Now why would that matter to you Caleb?" I ask him.

"We're here," he says swerving my question entirely.

I parked the car and he soon got out and once again thanking me. However, my mind was fixated on why he cared so much.

I was about to start the car to get going home but a woman popped out of nowhere and was at the side of my car window.

"You must be Nadia... know Caleb not to invite you in," she chuckles whilst I opened the door.

"You must be his aunt, it's nice to meet you," I smile as we greet each other.

She then insisted for me to enter and even though I did not want to be a nuisance a part of me wanted to know more about Caleb. I was in love with him for years so curiosity did sweep in.

"Caleb, I know your eager to see your brothers but at least ask the young girl to come in," His aunty tells Caleb off and he looks at me shocked.

"Look Aunty, Nadia is a busy girl... I'm sure she has other things that she needs to do," Caleb insists and seen as he didn't want me here so bad, I said the next thing.

"No Caleb don't be silly, it's been a while since I've seen your brothers," I replied smiling and he frowned. I'm guessing he was hiding something from me and I wanted to know what it was.

"You see Caleb," His aunt says and I grin.

I go into the living room to find Jacob and Joseph playing their play stations and they're eyes were superglued to the TV. The last time I had seen them was on that family vacation and they were only seven years old and now they were ten didn't really make a difference. Only difference was that now women and young ladies took more of a toll on them.

"Hey boys," Caleb greets but as I said they were too busy with their play stations so he jumped on the couch and took the extra play station.

"Don't mind them Nadia they don't stop at that thing," Aunt Doreen calls from the kitchen.

However, when I walk in both the boys dropped their play stations. They both run up from the couch and come to hug me.

"Nadia! We missed you!" They cried gripping onto me.

Aunt Doreen and Caleb looked quizzically at each other  and wondered what possibly made me stop those two.

"Nadia maybe you should come here more often," Aunt Doreen chuckles. The boys were still gripping me and I could no longer feel by blood in my veins.

"Boys get off her, you're suffocating her," Caleb laughs. "Looks like my brothers have a little crush on you Miss Johansen," he chuckles.

"Great," I huff.

"Grubs up!" Aunt Doreen yells and I insist that I am not hungry but she forced me to eat and Jacob and Joseph even offered to wash the dishes which made her a very happy women. Caleb excused himself from the table to nip outside. When we were all done I followed him out there.

"Are you alright?" I ask him. He was sitting down looking out into space.

"When I was young I used to sit here and think why my Mum had been taken away from me and why my father had allowed tons of women into our house, and I thought well he's not looking after my brothers so I'm going to have to but I couldn't even do that properly," he sighed and he looked down at the ground.

I kneeled down in front of him and pushed his chin up.

"You are strong Caleb, you lost your Mum and you could've lost your brothers and your father but you've still managed to keep it together, you.... Caleb are one of the strongest people I know," we stare into each others eyes for a long time not knowing what the next move would be.

That's when he swoops down to me and kisses me. It took me by shock but my shock soon turned into enjoyment as I was taken aback by how much passion the both of us shared.

However, that all changed when the front door was opened and we were staring back at Aunt Doreen.
