Caleb POVI walked through the corridors of the hospital.
"Did you two sort things out?" Debbie came up to ask me.
"We talked, but it's too late," I tell her.
"Mate it's never too late," Marcel chides in but I shake my head in disagreement.
"It is," I repeat.
"Okay spit it out..... girls you mind giving us boys our time to talk," Trey laughs. Pamela rolls her eyes looking unamused and Debbie just shrugs her shoulders and walks away too.
"I told her I loved her," I tell the boys making them all stop in their tracks.
"Wait... as in you Caleb Daniels... told Nadia Johansen that you love her... and you mean love love," Devonte stares at me making sure to repeat the word love more than once.
"Okay man... you've got two choices should I slap you to knock you out of it or punch you? You decide...." Trey says honestly bewildered by my announcement.
"Leave the boy alone guys... he's in love and with what better girl, Nadia's an amazing person.. this is you being a man," Marcel always the understanding one replies.
"Uh no Marcel this is him being stupid," Trey responds.
"Alright... alright... I'm still confused as fuck but what did she say back?" Devonte asks.
"Well she didn't say it back.... she told me to sort myself out,"
"Damn that must have burned," Trey comments resorting me to sigh.
"She knows about me sleeping with Stephanie so I get it,"
"Now that makes sense, and sorry to break it to you bro but her brother is in a hospital bed because of your mess," Marcel tells me as if I didn't already know.
"And because of that I've made some big decisions and you guys won't like it but it's the only way that I can guarantee all our families safety," I tell them and there facial expressions change to pissed.
"If you're thinking about leaving again...." Devonte says angrily.
"No it's not like that, no more running boys, this is a way that will guarantee Jordan and his boys will not come back to haunt us," I tell them and they look confused.
"Hey! Hey! We've never been about that lifestyle even when we were part of the herd... we can not and I repeat not kill the guy," Marcel says, they have the wrong idea about what I was saying.
"I'm not talking about that, why do you think I left the herd, the only thing that could work now is telling the cops,"
"Are you mad!" Trey bellows. I was waiting for this reaction.
"Caleb you do know that means that we'll all get put inside too," Marcel says and I shake my head.
"No I tell the cops what's been going on, they give me a deal, I will most likely have to meet with the guy whilst having surveillance..... it's a win win for me I haven't done anything too bad whilst in the herd but Jordan he'll get sent down for the rest of his life," I explain.
"We weren't brought up to be snitches Caleb," Devonte repsonds taking a seat.
"Do you think I care about that right now! They created a fire at my house leaving my Father with burns and leaving my brothers homeless and now Andrew has been shot, I can guarantee that shot was meant for Nadia and I'm not going to wait until they hurt her.... so you have to understand why I'm going to do this," I shout becoming more and more furious.
This was all because I wanted to leave the herd, because I wanted to leave this life.
"And what happens when Jordan gets out free or when the cops catch onto the fact that we are also part of the Herd," Trey says.
"If they want my co operation to catch Jordan then I'll ask for your immunity, think of it in the long run you won't have Jordan over your shoulders every minute.. this is for you boys as much as it is for my family," I tell them.
"Alright, when you meet Jordan and the rest of them, we'll be right behind you," Devonte says.
"I don't..." I get cut off by Marcel.
"Stop being the martyr for once and let us help you," Marcel says and Trey looks quizzically at Marcel.
"I don't think he knows what a martyr is," Devonte laughs and Trey wacks his head.
After the boys were being persistent I decided that it would be better to have back up.
I decide that it's time for me to speak to Andrew and apologise and beg for his forgiveness. However, Mr Johansen stops me at the door.
"What do you think you're doing?" He asks me.
"I wanted to talk to Drew, Sir," I reply keeping my head held high.
"No," he says bluntly.
"Sorry?" I ask confused.
"I said no, you need to stay away from my family I know this all happened because of you... when I took you into my home I only did it because I thought you weren't going to be any trouble.... but my son has been shot and if anything happens to the rest of my family I will hunt you down..... understood?" Mr Johansen ranted leaving me shocked.
I saw Nadia in the back looking at her father shocked by his hurtful words. She was about to step in but I just nodded telling her I could handle this.
"You're right sir, I won't be bothering any of you again," I tell him and I made sure she heard it too.
