Nadia
I laid in bed replaying yesterday nights events over and over again. I wiped away the tears that fell. I didn't know why I felt like this, I know I cared about him but to the point were him leaving made me feel numb?
I was afraid; afraid that I may never see him again.
When we were young, he used to tease me all the time but for some reason even then I couldn't help myself but fall for him. I had stopped those feelings but for some reason they were coming back and they were hitting me like never before.
There was a knock on my door.
"You not going school?" Drew asks walking into my room leaping onto the bed.
"No I don't feel well," I mumbled turning away.
"Did that guy do something to hurt you?" He asks agitated.
I shake my head scared that if I talked I would burst out into tears.
"Look I know we rarely get along but you're my little sister so I'm going to ask you again, did that Marcus guy do anything?" He asks sternly.
"He's gone Drew," I whisper.
"Who Marcus?"
"No Caleb... he left,"
"Where? What happened?" He asks confused.
"He had to leave to protect everybody, he's got himself into some trouble... I wanted to help him Drew but he wouldn't let me, why?" I reply holding my tears back. Drew realised something was wrong so he engulfed me in a hug.
"We'll get him back Nads alright,"
As soon as my brother left, I started to get ready. I had to go to to school, I had to demand answers from the boys. I'm sure they knew where he was, I just had to get them to talk and I knew exactly who I was going to question.
I jumped out of the car to see Marcel, Trey, Devonte, Debbie and Pamela who was looking a bit distant from them all. I guessed it would take her a while to get comfortable around them and I didn't blame her. I went over to them first hugging Pamela and then Debbie. I looked at the boys all of them looking down not being able to give me some eye contact.
"Where is he?" I ask immediately.
"We don't know," Marcel huffed.
"Why do I think you're lying.... you guys are like brothers, he would tell you,"
"Well we obviously aren't as close as you thought Nadia! We all just got a message telling us that he was leaving," Devonte argues back. I could tell that he was hurt by all of this too.
"You know what, I don't even know why you care so much! It's not like you two were in a relationship!" Devonte snaps.
He was right.
Caleb didn't care otherwise he would've stayed and tried to figure out an escape as a team.
"Hey that was uncalled for," Debbie says but I chuckle in realisation.
The others looked pissed at Devonte for being so hard on me but I appreciated it.
"No....no he's right, I'm here wasting my time over a guy that doesn't give a shit about me!" I say whilst the truth was quickly hitting me in the chest.
"Wait no.. I didn't say....." Devonte begins but I cut him off.
"Thank you Devonte, you just told me what I needed to hear," I smile before walking away leaving the group behind. My heart hurting whilst I took each step away.
