Why I Read

The other day I got asked, "Why do you read?"
I simply answered, "It's to pass time."
They said, "oh cool."

What I thought, "You get lost in an imaginary world, full of wonder and new people. Somewhere you can go to get away from the noise, and ruckus. You can be anyone from a book. The girl who is preppy. Or the guy who is an all-star. Or even the geek who is a cyber freak. You can be anyone. That's why I read. To get away from everything, that's ever existed. And see something someone else sees. That's why I read."
