Breath in
Breath out
Don't think about
Pain, or hurtThat's what I heard
As I woke from slumber
I woke next to a lady
With a nurseSmiling while breathing
Except she looked like me
Exactly like me
I felt myselfI was there
I sighed happily
Till I looked down
I wasn't thereI was a ghost of a girl
That girl was me
Till the night
With the drunk driver you seeThis is the hospital
In which I gave birth
To a beautiful baby
Named Anne JoyceOn our way home
On a foggy night
There was a drunk driver
With no headlightsHe swerved into our lane
No care in sight
Killed the baby on impact
Took her lifeI quivered in pain
As the doctors rushed in
To clean up this scene
That shouldn't have beganI watch them carry
My little baby
Straight the the ambulance
Without meThe I said
Let me just die
I don't want to be
Without my lifeMy life is with baby
Wherever she be
In heaven with baby
Is where I will beSo there is the story
Of baby and me
On the night
With the drunk driver, don't you see?
