Breath in
Breath out
Don't think about
Pain, or hurt
That's what I heard
As I woke from slumber
I woke next to a lady
With a nurse
Smiling while breathing
Except she looked like me
Exactly like me
I felt myself
I was there
I sighed happily
Till I looked down
I wasn't there
I was a ghost of a girl
That girl was me
Till the night
With the drunk driver you see
This is the hospital
In which I gave birth
To a beautiful baby
Named Anne Joyce
On our way home
On a foggy night
There was a drunk driver
With no headlights
He swerved into our lane
No care in sight
Killed the baby on impact
Took her life
I quivered in pain
As the doctors rushed in
To clean up this scene
That shouldn't have began
I watch them carry
My little baby
Straight the the ambulance
Without me
The I said
Let me just die
I don't want to be
Without my life
My life is with baby
Wherever she be
In heaven with baby
Is where I will be
So there is the story
Of baby and me
On the night
With the drunk driver, don't you see?
